I had to report in on the current CD that's playing.
It's a recording of Jimmie Rodgers tunes translated into German by a guy named Roland Heinrich. My friend, Oldrich Scholz, plays upright bass and ukelele on the album and he sent it to me. Not bad really...
Album title is Einsam und Ausgebremst.

I was going to listen to 2112, but clicked on Joe Nerve's post and downloaded "Abducted". That's what I'm listening to right now.

Okay, so I'm usually listening to Ray Brown dese days.
But I saw Collateral and heard Shadow on the Sun by Audioslave. I think Timmy C has the best rock bass tone I've ever heard! Maybe I just like his playing too -- but his bass just sounds perfect, so muscular and expressive too.
I'm a jazzer, but it's like watching the Olympics...I appreciate anyone's mastery of what they do. Timmy C has the rock thing dialed!
