I was not expecting mine as fast as it showed up. I signed up for the email notifications from USPS, and the only notification that I got was that it was leaving Miami on the 9th. Just checked it again actually, and it still shows the pedal as "in transit"

Glad to hear you got it man!! Looks like the Canuck is gonna be the last to get his haha.. Canada Post and USPS isn't tracking mine and have no clue where it is but assume it'll just show up some time next week..looks like the corner of my pedalboard is gonna collect a few more days of dust till it arrives

It's a small price to pay for the glory of living in America's hat :)

My playing is kinda limited right now due to recovery from a surgery, combined with summer heat and living in an old building with bad insulation.

I hear ya man! Hope your feeling better soon and drink a nice cold beer, that seems to help control the heat lol just not too much if your on pain killers! Question though how will you be using your ocsd? Through full range speakers, recording? I have a full range wedge as well as wanting to record with it. I also am curious how it'll sound going through an actual bass amp too.. I keep seeing spanky meme in my head from a previous post haha cheers!

I've got a Barefaced BB2. I also plan to do DI for recording.

Well. Against doctor's orders, I decided to play bass tonight. I can tell my surgery site is going to hurt tomorrow, but I needed to science with my new device.

I pulled out the P bass, plugged in my
Duncan Comp >
Volt Thrower >
Cab Sim >
Return on the Demeter VTBP 800 D to bypass the EQ >
Barefaced BB2 with the crossover all the way up to include the compression driver, which normally sounds pretty nasty with heavy distortion

I took a few quick spins through the Cab Sim's settings, and liked what I heard. I clicked it on and off a few times, and the difference was undeniable. It really does what it says it does, and sounds good doing it. I pushed some nasty dirt into it, which sounded awful when the pedal was off, with this signal chain. Clicking it back on made it totally useable. If this holds true for going DI to my DAW then I will be very, very happy. It feels good to have a new cab at the turn of a few dials. If you've already got a cab you love and don't go direct then I can understand this pedal not being useful. However, I think it has the potential to be a very useful tool. Can't wait to heal up so I can play more.

What you could do is use prerecorded bass samples of yourself (or others!) and play them through the device :thumbsup:

For those of you fresh owners that would like to know what the pedal does frequency wise, I made a thread a year ago describing the different knobs, with frequency response curves :

The OCS simply gets it done! I have the V1 which has been "down" the past couple months. Had to play a couple shows and numerous rehearsals without it and I can't begin to explain what a huge, noticeable difference it makes. I a pre/power guy running into relatively sterile Greenboy cabs in order to have an equal FOH and stage tones. With the exception of chorus, my pedals are always on (VMTD and VT Bass). Without an OCS at the end of the signal chain, I'm missing the one item which makes it all come together. The OCS simply "cleans" everything up.

Huge kudos to Daniel for working with me on a V2. I'm back in business!!!! What a class guy! I cannot be more appreciative.
