NPD: SA Aftershock

Anyone tried the Rat algorithm? Curious if it could replace my Blower Box
Bob Chidlaw built his own DIY Rat pedal many years ago. This has served as our starting point. The Aftershock gives 3 flavors: 1) Guitar OFD, 2) Bass OFD, 3) new and improved 2016 version.

Just so everyone's clear, I have my Aftershock poised to replace my trusty VT Bass v2, an EWS Trilogic III, a blender and a noise gate. It's a good day when one new pedal exceeds that four-way combo

I do hope I can do the same when I get mine :)

On that note, I already have a notion that it is possible to have something like a Xover and send the high and low to different distortion algorithms, however, can anyone tell me if it is possible to split a mono input, send one side to one algorithm, then out to a loop and then blend with the other side going through a second algorithm?

I am definitely going to get the Aftershock as soon as I'm able to set the funds aside for it.

I already have a layout in mind:

AMP <= SA Nemesis Delay (with SA Tap Tempo switch to change presets) <= Dunlop CBM105Q (Cry Baby Mini Bass Wah) <= SA Aftershock Bass Distortion <= TC Electronic PolyTune 2 <= DigiTech Bass Whammy <= BASS

I have everything except the Aftershock and the wah, which will be filling those reserved spaces as soon as they show up on store shelves. :bassist:

What website is that designer from? It doesn't look like pedalboardplanner.com?

Also, I may have "accidently" just purchased a Lunar Phaser

Never seen this mini bass Wah thing will have to check it out... I'm not sure to get the OFD or wait to the aftershock hmmm

It was announced earlier this year. It's just a much smaller version of the Cry Baby Bass Wah, and it has all of the same features (level and Q controls, spring-loaded auto-return design, etc.).

Between the OFD and Aftershock, it really comes down to your particular goals. I love my OFD, and it's been on my board since it was first released. I just have a few very specific plans in mind for the Aftershock that I can't do with the OFD.

I just did a quick mockup in Microsoft Publisher using stock images from the web that I cleaned up a bit, and resized them based on the actual dimensions of each item. I've always preferred to do it myself rather than use an existing tool. :D

Yeah I keep thinking about that with the OFD I'm liking switching between presets with my foot rather than flicking a switch, that and not so sure I'd use all the functions of the app when after listening to lots of demo's pretty much know what I want out of the OFD...

I've got a weeping demon Wah that works well with bass but never really use Wah in my band right now... Got replaced by a bass whammy reissue.. As awesome as the idea of a mini bass Wah is not sure if it's just more GAS than something I'd use... Doh!
