NV215 in da house

I've had my NV215 for about a year now and it never ceases to amaze me. I just love feeling bass as much as hearing bass.

BTW, have you ever heard a P bass with flats through a tude head into a NV215? OMF'nG

the nv425 must definitely be an awesome cab...I would like to think that I can get pretty close with the NV610 and some EQ'ing...I actual was in a dilemma if I should buy the nv215 or the nv425, but I bought the nv215 to get different tone options, and couldn't be happier...If I only could have 1 cab, I could imagine the nv425 would probably be a favorite, but MAN the NV215 is really something! I'm loving it more and more every day...

I just A/B'd the 215 and 425....the 425 came home with me. I just prefered it over the 215 which was pretty sweet too. I'll be pumping my Classic 400 through it at rehearsal tonight.

Can you give us any insight into how the two compared to your ears? These are the two NVs I am tossing up between (well this week anyway - if I had the cash I'd just solve all my problems and buy all three ). Any info on why you made this choice would be great!

Both were great sounding but as it has been said previously in this thread the 215 is more even/flat. The 425 had more grunt/mids but not as much as the 610. IMO it really bridges the gap sonically between the 215 and 610. Best of both worlds, I hope!

I was so bummed that I missed you today at your shop. I know the home improvement thing all too well! You need to keep the missus happy, LOL. You were super-helpful on the phone the other day. Put the NV425 through it's paces tonight with my Darkstared Lakland Bob Glaub. It passed with flying colors. Very different from what I'm used to...can't wait to get it in a more bass friendly room. Our rehearsal room isn't perfect but what space is!
