Older than dirt ;)
I've been getting into searching obscure 70s rock bands (thanks Youtube!). I've been looking for bands that don't have members that later became famous that rocked but never made it big. Here's an example:

Stepson
They put out their one and only studio album in 1974. Really like the singer (Jeff Hawks - on this track he reminds me of Lenny Kravitz at times) and guitarist (Joey Newman). Here's probably their 'best known' song from the album:

Have you got any other unknown 70s bands to share?

There is a whole thread here about "forgotten" 70s bands. Many of them don't meet your criteria of not having any future famous members.

Trapeze was an early Glenn Hughes band I'd never heard of, before he joined Deep Purple for instance.

Then there's bands like Sir Lord Baltimore, which was pretty unknown until the modern stoner/doom scene glommed onto them and started mentioning them in interviews and documentaries.

Pentagram's another one of those; that band technically never broke up as the singer/bandleader has kept it going and touring to this day on and off.

Lotsa good ones so far - keep 'em coming. I actually had a Starz album in the 70s, they are pretty obscure. The reason I had the idea of no future famous members is because I know of a lot of unknown bands only because of the famous guy - Trapeze is a good example. I am interested in the ones where nobody really made it big but the band still had something to offer. Here's another one: Cain - they had a couple of studio albums in the mid 70s; the singer Jiggs Lee is really good:
