Ah.. you are correct about Mike Rynoski. I stopped listening when he joined. I think they fell off the radar at that point too. He's not on the first three records that are maximum rock and roll for the time

Punk we wrote and recorded "American Society " I was on the original fast version. Also L7 took it and had a number 1 hit in England with that song. Theirs is the slow version. Thanks
While the band Wiggy Bits was a good group that did not have much success, Peppy Castro had been with The Blues Magoos previously and then formed Balance, which had a couple hit songs. Richie Cerniglia and Mike Ricciardella had been with The Illusion beforehand and had a hit with Did You See Her Eyes.
Interestingly, the first three Moxy albums used to be in great demand and highly collectible with vinyl record collectors at one time. I used to be a record dealer and I sold them. I still have my own copies.
Tantrum. They did three albums. I actually played these two songs when they were new.

The funny thing about this very cool thread is that many of the obscure bands and albums mentioned are in my record collection.
My band was pretty darn obscure. None of us became famous. You should be our biggest fan.
Patto probably qualifies. Here's a live-in-the-studio track from their third album. It's hard to believe that that guitar solo was recorded in 1972.
The very good band Lake had great success in Europe but only had limited success in North America with these songs.

First 2 Legs Diamond albums. I'm not sure how well known they are. nobody famous in this band that I can recall:
The original Creed. Late 70's.. so obscure I don't think it's ever made it to CD. Southern hard rock:
Angel should have been a much bigger band. They were very good and never got the exposure they deserved. Keyboardist Greg Guiffria had some minor career recognition in the 1980s and 1990s with the bands Guiffria and House Of Lords.
