LOL! hahaha! I know, crazy idea and "thinking outside of the box". But, I actually majored in math and minored in physics in college. Water pressure is a potential energy source that's "just there" waiting for us to harness. And, there is a Norwegian company, that I just found, who is working on doing so. Here's an article:

I believe downunderwonder is referring to the general news reports, not the original article. The original article was a theoretical treatise: based on seismic wave data, and some lab simulations, the authors proposed that perhaps water molecules could be embedded in the ringwoodite. Bear in mind that this is 400 miles deep, and the only actual data we have about anything 400 miles deep, is the seismic wave data.
Somehow the news reports twisted this theoretical proposal into a story proclaiming "Scientists have discovered an ocean of water 400 miles deep!" No, we have taken the seismic wave data, and run some lab simulations, and proposed a hypothesis that may match the seismic wave data. That hypothesis is water molecules existing in the ringwoodite, hardly "massive oceans".
...Perhaps species exist within the sub-Earthly extreme heat and other elements. And if species exist there, maybe some manage to find routes into our main oceans....
