Discontinued, but still available...I recommend the Mooer Tender Octaver.

Why do you recommend the Tender over the Pure?

For cheap great polyphonic tracking, get the Mooer Tender Octave (basically a clone of the EHX micro-POG). It's cheapest when ordered from Aliexpress.com, though shipping takes a while.

Another option is the TC Electronic Sub'n'Up.

I never thought to look for pedals on Ali or DHGate, I found a pretty sweet looking one on the latter though too:

50$ or so and it has 3 modes, -1/ -2 , -1/ +1 and +1/+2

Pretty sweet for the $, not sure how it sounds but I may have to get one next time I have the extra cash to find out.

Does the nano vs micro matter at all? Or is it just footprint?

They use different circuits, and there's been a number of threads here comparing them. To me, the Nano sounds more artificial and doesn't track as well, but YMMV.

I was leaning towards one of those awhile back but I never forked over the $ so I may have to try out one of these cheaper budget pedals for now.

With just bass or in general? It sounded pretty good in the demo I checked out but it did sound a bit artificial and or out of tune perhaps.

I have owned a micro pog, and currently own a Mooer Tender Octave. Both get the job done. I have also owned an 8 and 12 string bass(s).
Of all that I have heard of the digital poly octaves with octave up, the Sub n Up by TC Electronic is the best of class for natural sounding octave up.
It also has a solid octave down.

Has anyone tried this Aroma octave pedal? That is ridiculously cheap...

I use a Mooer Tender Octaver and am in love with it. I imagine that means the POG must be solid too.

I'm going to buy an octave pedal, and I want something that can track my chords more than anything, and I couldn't really find anything on that. I've been leaning towards the Aguilar Octamizer so far, but if you guys have a better suggestion on a pedal that will track 2 or 3 note chords perfectly, let me know. Tracking lower than a G is a bonus, but not necessary.

It might just be me, or my bass, or output level, or something... but I could never get the Aguilar Octamizer to track well.

Yeah, uhm same as Mooer pure octave, the Oct. Up sounds modulated like it's run through a chorus... Warbly and out of tune.

I've tried most in my octave quest. Best tracking was ehx micro pog and boss OC-3 in polyphonic mode.

Former MicroPOG user here. I don't recall if I ever did chordal work with it but it tracked excellently, all the way down my B strings, too.

I tried the Aguilar a few times with poor results. I love Aggie gear, but this just did not do it.

The pitch shifted sound is horribly out of tune and has a wavering, warbly tonality. No way that I could use it for lead lines where I hoped for a stable, clear octave-up copy of my original sound. So, I tried mixing in just a small amount of pitch shifted sound with clean hoping that I could use it to just add a bit of brightness, but the sound is so out of tune that even in really small doses it was driving me crazy. I can't believe that Mooer put this pedal on the market, definitely does not give me confidence in their other products.

I appreciate the warning, will definitely look up some more demo's before I decide and I doubt I will be buying any more gear until I sell some anyways

I could live with poorer tracking if the extra octave options are decent enough, will have to do some sound/ price comparisons before I make up my mind.
