Octave Pedals - What For?

Well, first I'd say that I am drawing a blank as to a pedal that does octave up only. Most pedals I can think of that can do it also have the octave down (Octron, BMS etc). I suppose you could have two whammys, one set for octave down and one for octave up . . .

But to answer your question, I suppose if you ran them in parallel it could work, but not in series. Reason being that whichever pedal was second would be trying to pitch shift the entire signal it is being fed, not just the dry.

Nevertheless, I didn't mean to imply an "octave up only pedal." Just two octave pedals in parallel and setting one "up" and one "down." But it probably wouldn't track like the POG either.

It would be interesting to put two OC-2s (or similar) in parallel.

My BMS sounds entirely better with an OC-2 before it...Just because it's an octave up or down, doesn't make it awesome.

...which is why I'm GASing over these pedals. I know they're attainable. I will attain one sometime.

Doesn't look like a Pedulla to me. It looks like something I've never seen. I know he had or still has a Buzz, but it tdoesn't look liket hat either.

It sounds much more like keyboard synth this way, that octave from the oc2 really does it. Blows the bms 'suboctave' slider away!

Yeah, I remember him having a Buzz. The two center blocks and shape made me wonder whether it was a Pedulla.
