I'm another OC-2 user, but I honestly had no idea why when I got it. Must've been stupid cheap. I modded it a few months ago to put that 8-bit square wave sound in it which is fun and annoys the band, but I've only recently come to use and appreciate it...especially after taking up the organic dubstep wobble cause, running it with synth pedal, compressor, distortion, e filter and chorus.

I still find the second octave down to be completely useless, but the first one is great.

Another OC-2 user here and I love the damn thing. No other octaver is that damn F-A-T! I also use a EHX HOG with -1 oct, no direct, filter @ 2.5, res @8 with spectral gate on and this makes for a smooth DEEP polyphonic octaver. No girth or analog_qualitites but that's not why I got it

digitech bass synth wah - great bang for the buck. for me it tracks as low as f on the e-string. gives a nice warm subtone.

i had the ebs octaver until it broke. it was also great but i found it too pricy to buy another one. after reading in the forum that the digitech has a nice octave setting, i tried it and am happy.
