OD that doesn't rob bottom end

I use the EHX Nano Battalion as a bass overdrive. The blend knob is very useful and there is zero loss of bottom end. Fantastic pedal, IMO.

Yep that looks pretty comprehensive...however, I'm not sure why someone would design a treble and a tone control...one is a +/- treble tone control...the other is a - treble tone control...lets boost some treble...and then cut our treble again....

Oh man! Came full circle tonight. Decided to twiddle some more knobs on my Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe for one last time. I believe I figured it out and I love it! I was running it in front of my D-800 (as usual) and a SW 115 cab (didn't hook up the 112 with the 115 tonight). I adjusted the output level WAAAAY down on the preamp and when I turned the amp up (to where I usually play live), no limit light!!! The tone is awesome! I think I just needed to get more familiar with the preamp. I'm glad I did! No more searching for an overdrive pedal but I would love to get a fuzz pedal.

Lol yep. So glad you figured it out because honestly you wouldn't be able to spend your way out of it.

going back to unity gain...

you should have the same volume with the pedal on vs the pedal off - that way you change the character of your sound without changing the output- you should see how low the output is on my compressor!
