EBS Billy Sheehan Signature pedal.
Splits your signal and gives you a level control for both the drive and the clean - not just a "blend".
Plus you can invert the phase of the signals to keep it really full.

And it has a bunch of other options too.
Definitely worth checking out.

Does it sound OK? If so put some tape over the light, if not turn the level down on the VT Deluxe, also play with the controls, if I can make it sound like an SVT thru an old Peavey amp you can do it thru the Mesa, I don't even need it on my Mesa 800+

I just got home from my rehearsal space where I spent three plus hours making very loud bass sounds in my first shakedown tryout of my new Aguilar Tone Hammer 700. My clipping light was flashing about 85% of the time. I wasn't worried. I just watched my speakers(and listened) checking to see how much the cones were moving around....to ensure that they weren't thrashing around too much. They were ok.
I don't know if that flashing light on your Mesa means something else but if I'm not mistaken the wattage for each of your cabs is 400 which means 800 total ...so your probably good.
One of my cabs (nv215) is only rated to 600 and the TH700 puts out 700. But I'm still not worried because I go for a mids forward sound without a ton of lows which protects the speakers

Are you sure you are hitting the limiter light on the D800? You might just be hitting the O/D light on the D800. That means you are engaging the emulated tube drive of the head. You should be able to drop the volume of the VT Deluxe and not have issues. Double check what light is coming on.

It's the limit light. I've tried dropping the level of VT Deluxe but still have the limit light flashing too often when I increase the volume of my amp to where I need it.

The sweep on the level knob is not smooth. I can slowly turn it (in either direction) and nothing will even change and then all of a sudden, BOOM! It drastically increases (or decreases) the output level. Stupid! Something may be wrong with the pedal. I am definitely not diggin' it!

That's really frustrating! I wonder if an audio taper pot would fix it, but that's quite a pain to mess around with for a pedal.
