There was also a Squier version. I'd love to have either one. Pointy basses are cool.

You, sir, just solved a mystery among the bass students at my school. One of our classmates has one of those, and he kept insisting "it's just a normal jazz bass man" while my friend and I were trying to find out more about it.

My wife picked it out. Kinda grows on you after awhile. Quite a shock for the uninitiated.
I have a black MIM Stu Hamm Urge bass that is pretty cool. Don't have a pic though.
Funny enough, I JUST realized it is active today (always thought it was passive), and I have had it for 3 years!
Actually, it belongs to my 12 year old, so I don't really play it.
In any case, it is a great little bass that i bought for $200-ish used. The 32" scale is much more comfortable than 30" IMO if you are used to 34/35" basses.

One of my first basses was a JP 90. I can't find a pic of it but it had a Jazz and a P pickup. Mine was black with white pickguard and I think made in USA.

I had an MB-5 that was an awesome bass. I just couldn't get along with the tight string spacing

An MIM Stu Hamm? I didnt realize they made those in Mexico. Id pay $200ish for that.
