Offical B.C. Rich Club!

Watch Neil Moser's eBay storefront.. He will sell the harness/preamp for the Mockingbird for less then what is on his site..

I was going to do the Moser harness, but I'd have to buy a pair of DiMarzio Model Ps, then get his harness, new knobs and install it.. Not to mention shield the cavity..

I've decided to go with a pair of Bartolini 8TC pickups and I'm in the process of figuring out which tone shaping preamp to use.. I want to have the same switches and knobs as the Moser pre-amp does.. So it looks the same, externally.. I'm leaning towards the harness that was in early 80s Pedullas..

It should sound good..

I recently traded my 80's USA Warlock for an 80's Mock. The guy I traded with told me the electronics weren't working and ordered and paid for the replacement harness and sent it to me. My Tech found that the installed harness was actually in working order, the problem was, somewhere along the lines (previous owners) someone swapped out the original Dimarzios with Fender '57 reissue P pups and was never wired properly. My Tech phoned Neal who told him to properly work, install Dimarzio P's and gave him the proper wiring scheme, which he did and it's like having a whole new bass. Neal seems very friendly and approachable, he might be able to give you some guidance or at least helpful info.

Hello, can you please tell me what year my Eagle bass was made? The serial number is R6004 and it is a neck through construction with dual p bass pick ups and three knobs and one switch. It plays and sounds amazing and I really don't know much about it. Any info would be really appreciated. Thanks very much!

Hey guys!
Was checking out the forum and decided "wth" might as well brag on my Baby....
1983 B.C. Rico Wave Bass.
Have had it for about 20 yrs now and love it more every time I pick it up.
And recently got in touch with Neal and have him working on me a custom harness to fit the smaller Rico cavity.
Can't wait to wire that beauty in.
Will update once I get the harness and have unleashed hell upon the neighbors!!!

Heres my 85 NJ mockingbird. It was red but I stripped the paint and stained it. Not that good but I dig the "vintage" roadworn lookView attachment 516896

Mike,
Just to update you. I got the bass in like 3 days! It's friggin sweet. Have it all set up with Badass2 bridge and placed an order with Neal Moser for a wiring harness. Will post a pic once I have it all done and repainted.
Thanks again

I used to own a US Warlock bass, I loved the look of it but it sounded terrible and I could never get past the diving headstock to make a pick up upgrade worth while... so i sold it on circa 2005. Fair play to you lot for rocking the cockerel with these bad boys! Ill ad a pic of mine when I next dig out my ole laptop

Cimee, that is so cool! I love my Wave. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.

Updated, after thinking it over. I decided to put the moser harness in the NJ Mockingbird that I got from mikenel 169.
I just couldn't bring myself to drill new holes in that rare Rico Wave yet (it was the first present my then girlfriend/now wife of 22 yrs got me) So I'm holding onto the originality of the wave for now. Maybe later I'll do the harness in it as well.
Now all I have to do is find me some original USA pups with the 4 wire configuration instead of the 2+ground.
That is something everyone should take note of btw, ALL of the Moser harnesses will require the 4 wire pups.
I can get 2 new sets of the DiMarzio DP122s for about $65 ish each, but I would LOVE to find 2 sets of the original pups.
Also thought about the DP 127s with the rails.
"Call me old and nostalgic"
So if anyone hears of some out there, shoot me a pm.

Thanks

What do you think of my 1986 BC rich Ironbird in black and yellow crackle finish with an unfinished neck! I ordered this bass in 1986 and I remember I could not wait for it to get in! and it still sounds awesome and plays better than any bass I have touched since. Only problem is my wife makes me keep it under our bed because it scares her.
