What do you think of my 1986 BC rich Ironbird in black and yellow crackle finish with an unfinished neck! I ordered this bass in 1986 and I remember I could not wait for it to get in! and it still sounds awesome and plays better than any bass I have touched since. Only problem is my wife makes me keep it under our bed because it scares her.

Scored this today, NJ series with the truss cover flipped.
here is an promo shot i did for my endorsement with kahler usa with my bc rich warlock revenge bass.. it is currently being outfitted with an emg mm style humbucker.. ill post that when by bass is done.
another shot of the bass.. just walked out onto the stage.. that venue was packed !! .. ill never forget that night..

Nice looking bird there.
One question, do the sharper edges on the side effect the "feel" of the bass?
As in, does it have a tendency to scrape your arm when sitting and playing?
Never played one with the edges like that, always had the smoother curved ones.
I had a trem on a bass a while back...and everyone kept asking "why put a whammy bar on a bass?"
My reply was "why the hell NOT?" Just gives me one more tool in the shed to make it awesome!
got that right !.. alot of people arent open to other forms of expression.. a whammy is simply another way.. i tell ya.. i have alot of fun with the whammy
I thought it would, but hasn't been an issue so far. I need to get a proper strap for it and take it to practice to really know. When sitting and playing, stabbing myself in the nuts when I grab it to play sat is the bigger issue.
Not to mention, use that whammy in the studio, and you will have ppl trying to break their fingers getting those awesome bends and dives...
More WHAMMY!!!
