The tag says "Demo" as in brand new...for $150? Wow, amazing deal. Gotta love GC's "move the units" mentality...

Yep, $160 with tax, I had to give a second look to make sure I read it correctly...

Plugged it in and all seems to work, so I said why not

I went in to GC today looking for a few new cables and walked out with an Ampeg....go figure...

Just bought a blue-and-red label SVT-3 Pro and have a 4-ohm Avatar B212N on its way. Can anyone tell me how excited I should be about getting the Avatar? I'd been using an 8-ohm Ashdown MAG 115, and I can't wait to get louder!

Edit: I also have 3 NOS Sovtek 12AX7LPS's on the way

Just picked up my first Ampeg the other day. SVT-CL. Very nice so far!

Just updated my Ampeg rig with a brand new, Made in USA, SVT-6 Pro. That took the place of the Crest CA9. The SVP-CL still works great with the power section of the SVT-6. I now prefer the SVT-6 though. More note definition, and the "tubey goodness" is even better when the tube voltage is lowered.

Nice. I'm still lovin' my 6Pro. Great tone, and volume to spare. Gotta love the SLM products, especially nowadays. I think the 6Pro might be the most underrated of all the Pro series Ampegs.

Thanks. I briefly had the SVT-8 Pro, but I am finding this head more interesting. The 8 was just like the CL preamp with lots of power and power tube emulation. The SVT-6 has a little compression and the tube voltage is fun to mess with. I had never heard much about these heads. My favorite setting is the Ultra Low switch with my Jazz V bass.

Your Talkbass name just made me put down my Jazz V and pick up my daughter's 2006 COY Rickenbacker! That sounds great through this head as well. That's actually the best it has ever sounded! That says something great about this head as well.

$150 for an SVT 3 Pro? ***? Over here in Europe it costs 985 euros... That's about 1400 USD :S.

I got a SVT 410 HE coming in in about a week, can I join? It's USA made and it went in a flightcase straight away .
