Thanks!
I have a question as this is my first major bass rig.
At the back there is an effects send/ return inputs, which one do I plug my effects in to? By effects I mean Boss Tuner and Boss Limiter/Enhancer which is soon to be accompanied by a Boss Bass Overdrive pedal.
The gu***rists in my band insist that this will give a cleaner signal and a stronger output but as I don't have a manual I would rather not just stick things anywhere!!
:hmm:

The basic rule on effects is...

- If you step on it to turn it on, it (they) go in-line and before the pre-in
- If it has rack ears, it goes in with the racked amp

...the signal strength is different between stomp boxes and rack-mounted effects and generally are not interchangable. The Boss pedals you mentioned are of the in-line variety.

Good advice here. I'd just run those pedals in-line straight into the input on your amp, that's it.

so i just spent about 2 hours trying to quickly skim the first thread as well as this one. LOTS of AWESOME setups and ampeg gear!!!!

i dont know why i was doing so, but the entire time i was looking for someone that has the same head as me. i know there was only 250 of them made, but i definitely thought SOMEONE on TB would surely have one. maybe i missed it trying to move quickly, but i have an Ampeg SVT-2 PRO Premiere Edition. as far as i know, its the same as any other 2 pro. except some extra badges and the fact that they were hand made. anyways, thats what i have. number 93/250. i swapped the 6550's for j/j kt-88's, and had 2 extra fans installed in the back. (i didnt think the internal one was adequate enough)

if anyone has more info on the differences between this and other svt2's, please let me know, as well if anyone else on here has one!!!

this is an old pic. i had the head by itself in a 4u rack,i knew i wanted some more goodies, so i got a shockmount 8U. but this is before i got any of them...

p.s. - can i have a number?
