Which one do you like better the SVT-2 or the SVT-4?

All around, I'd say the 2 Pro. However, they both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

The 2 Pro has amazing punch and warmth. It has a very natural and organic overdriven tone. For 300watts, it gets pretty loud, too. On the flip side, it is all-tube and demands constant upkeep that can be costly. It also weighs almost as much as my 610!

The 4 Pro is great for deep bass and a hi-fi sound. It also offers more cabinet routing/bi-amping options than the 2 Pro. It's also quite a bit lighter than the 2 Pro. It only has tubes in the preamp section; they do not need changed very often.

Now, when you hook both amps up (2 Pro to the 810E/4 Pro to the 610HLF/BDDI for a preamp) the tone and volume is breathtaking and throws bolts of lightning while swinging Thor's hammer! :bassist:

Nice, I'm running (2)810's with a SVT-4 and a SVP1600. Those two together weight more than a SVT-2. I really want an SVT-2 for the punch and warmth.
