Cool! Ive been trying to find a black 310-if music genres were Transformers,punk rock would turn into a 310bk... But cant seem to find a single one,so the LE is a good substitute! I allready have a 305nat and its the sweetest bass ive ever owned-want a ATK fourbanger NOW!! Im waiting for a reply from the dealer about the LE,and its actually making me sweat... Whats the story behind the LE? Is it the swansong of the 300 series?Yup, I own one myself!
Best of luck on tracking one down, I really dig mine! No idea what the story is behind it. I just saw a picture of one and made up my mind to get one. Luckily for me I found one on evilbay for $200.
Wasn't there some interest expressed previously vis-a-vis the mint green color scheme?
FYI, Canadian 4-banger fans can get in on the fun through L.A. Music, in Mississauga.
Their online store is listing the 310 (presumably Indonesian, original body style, with the triple-coil pickup and a rosewood fingerboard) in mint green for $495.99. Non-matching headstock, BTW.
Looks pretty cool with the dark fingerboard and white M.O.T. pickguard...

Since I added the neck pickup to my ATK305, I've been occasionally overloading the preamp. Instead of lowering the gain pot, I'd prefer to give myself some extra headroom by adding another 9V.
Has anyone on TB successfully 18-volted an ATK, or other active basses built in the Cort factory?
I ask, because I'd hate to find out the hard way that the SMD's couldn't handle the supply voltage increase...

Hey Steve...I had the preamp on my 750 maxed out at one time.
The signal was too hot when I'd record the bass as well as being too hot when sent to the board playing live...didn't seem to affect the front end of my Markbass, though
I've not come across any info concerning an 18v mod.
IMO,..the preamp is the only weak link in the ATK series...I'd swap it out before I'd add another battery

Anybody notice that they have a GATK available? Pretty cool for those on the budget but I don't like that they did away with the bridge.
That is similar to the Paul Gray tribute bass.
IMO, that's ATK in name only. Different bodywood, different bridge, different pickup, no selector switch, etc. It may be a good bass though.
Back in the mid 90s, I replaced the preamp in my ATK305 with an EMG 3 band preamp, though I did keep the pickup switch. Quieter and to my ears slightly improved tone. Those can easily run at 18v as you already know.
I'd be very apprehensive about running 18v through the stock pre - no experience with that, but fear it would not work well.

Good bass to offer to beginners or those on a tight budget as an introduction to the ATK.
I've noticed that the lower bout on the Prestige seems to have been reshaped a bit.
Not too crazy about the new headstock logo...reminds me of the BTB's....should've been done in pearl, at least.
I concur. I think it's well in excess of the rated voltages of some of the components.

That is similar to the tribute bass, I hadn't even looked at it yet, I thought it was the same as the PGB which has the same preamp/bridge as a regular atk but BEAD. The GATK would be a sweet beater/punk bass. I hope it's a big seller with the youngin's.

My "new to me" ATK 300 should arrive tomorrow. 2006 model, tri-fade burst. Found it on EBay and the wife bought it. Got a good deal on it as well. Will want a number but want to wait until I actually have it before being assigned a number. Don't want to jinx myself.
I got exactly what I wanted and glad I didn't settle for anything else. Will post pics.
