My ATK sounds good in a 15W crate amp and awesome with a fender bxr 200W. I cant imagine the sound when i get some gk neo cabs to test it with my GK 2001RB. The gk growl and the atk ,hmm I cant wait.

it does sound good. IME its sounded good through every amp and PA ive played through. with all of my pedals and straight in. its my one and only go to bass, and i am so happy i got it "sound-unheard"

I must confess that my ATK has been sitting in its case for a few months while I toyed with other basses and sounds. I pulled it back out this morning and plugged it in, only to discover why I fell in love with the thing to begin with - deep, rich tones and the ability to sit anywhere in the mix I want. She's going with me to rehearsal last night for sure.

Oh, and btw, anybody open up his controls compartment? Its actually sheilded with sheilding paint, how cool is that? For a 500 dollar bass!

My ATK seems to have a high fret on the 18th fret though, as it buzzes uncontrollably and very very harshly there. Anybody know how i can solve this without taking it to a luthier or technician? Because there are none here.

I know this is splitting hairs, but that's Blue Moon; Moon Blue is the darker color that DeArmond used....no wonder I got confused.

I have had multiple issues with the necks on the ATK's. It seems that Ibanez has dropped the ball in the quality control dept for this line of their basses. Don't get me wrong, I love my ATK, but I had to exchange three ATK's in order to get one that was decent and yet I still had to make some adjustments to it before it was playable. As for your fret issue, you can try taking the neck off and securing it on a flat surface. Then take a block of wood and place it across the frets and give the block of wood a good whack. It should even out that fret. BUT BE CAREFUL!!!
Your best best would be to go to a luthier, but since you don't have that option....well, just be careful. Make sure you do as much research on common neck and fret problems before you do anything, make sure you diagnose the problem correctly before attempting any repairs. If it is still under warranty you may want to just send it back for an exchange.
Good Luck!

I was just thinking that there aren't too many of us that I would think about a buck to the members + self addressed stamped envelope. Just wanted to recoup the vinyl cost. There is about 35 of us right? My labor would be just a donation to my fellow ATK Club members.

I got my ATK Club stickers today from MarkusBass. Nice job Markus! They look really cool and are much bigger than I thought they would be. My bass case for my ATK has got a bunch of stickers on it and one of these is going on there for sure.

Thanks Markus!

No problemo! You know to take the white backing off right?

+1 Got mine last night as well but had to run out to rehearsal. These are great!!!!! Thanks Markus!

On an unrelated note, the ATK let me down tone-wise for the first time last night. I couldn't quite get the bite out of it I'm used to with my Douglas MM clone for some reason. Need to spend some time searching for it and A/B'ing the two basses and hope I find it...
