Love that grain pattern.

Mine is more uniformed, almost stripey.
 
Yeah, its 16.5mm and I personally like it a lot.

I moved from a 19mm 5 to the ATK - Ibanez site actually states ATK305 is 17mm BTW.

To ME, it is the best 5 string spacing - easier on my fretting hand, easier to mute, slapping is a BIT tougher at first but you quickly get used to it. After a few days, I was hooked. Had a similar experience way back with a Stingray 5.

My 19 mm was great, but I found it a bit much of a stretch at times and harder to mute, but I can play either now really.

I agree with you there, I love the string spacing on my atk 305. its just right for me. i previously played on some ibanez SRs and the string spacing is tight and the neck so slim, and i was afraid the ATK would be like a huge baseball bat, but it fits just right in my hands. only thing that would make me happier is to have another backup 5er, and a 5er fretless, haha
