ok man, but i have to warn you, if you want mine, you have to take a trip to portugal to get it from me :D

i envy the US, just because they have a lot of crazy editions of the atk, that europe doesnt have ...

i would totally love a white w/matching headstock :bassist:

hehe i wouldnt mind that, it would give me an excuse to explore the world a little more. white would look very nice :)

i would like to post some pics of this baby that i had, but it's too late down here at portugal, so, im gonna post the link of the owner before me

by the way it was an atk 100, and i was flat broke, near to x-mas and i was not in the mood to "sell me on the streets to strangers" so i sold it to a friend, and i miss him (the bass of course)

What does the PBC tension free neck actually do?
thats a very hot grain pattern

All the string tension is carried by the headstock and a big steel bar that runs down the middle of the neck. The neck actually "floats" on this structure. You could theoretically take the neck off the bass, attach the bar and headstock assembly and string it up. In fact, the headstock and bar come right out of the end of the neck, in one piece, just by undoing a set screw. The end result, to me, is a neck that doesn't move and sustain for days :bassist: The flamed maple fret board and headstock are killer too. Dave Bunker really did a nice job with these.

dont let it go man. thats seriously the only bass i find more beautiful than mine, haha. i am a big big sucker for trans blue and pearl white guards..... play that thing and blow people's minds with it man

I don't gig it much anymore, but the one I got rid of(this one's twin) was my 1st 5 string. It was a workhorse for a long time. This one is more of a treasure now. Oddly I've had 5 or 6 people come up to me @ various gigs and ask me if it was a Wal. Because it sure doesn't look like an Ibanez. Those pix are too dark, they really don't do the body or neck grain justice.

woo! my atk300

i want in:hyper:

I'm wanting to get another pick guard, any idea on colors/ patterns?

I'm in the same boat as you - mine's identical to yours and the black just ain't cuttin' it for me looks-wise. I'm pondering clear but I really need to crack open photoshop and overlay some patterns on mine to see what I'm up against.

I know the white on orange thing always reminds me of orange cream soda. heh
