It's been fluctuating in the last year or two, for various reasons. It's been discussed pretty recently, too. The actual time can be quite fast, if the cabs are in stock at the time of order, and there aren't any holidays or trade shows, or illnesses (it's a small headcount operation). There was a trade show earlier this month, which seems to have slowed things down a little. I'm assuming delivery times will pick back up again. They have been as fast as a week, but can stretch closer to eight weeks, if my memory serves regarding stories in this thread.

I ordered mine in Feb. got an email this week that it was nearing completion and to send the balance which I did. I was just wondering from other that it was not in stock and they had to build from start to finish, once they got the same email how long it took from that point. Go a really important gig next Friday and was hoping to get it by then but time is running out. Not a big deal because my current rig is fine, just a want thing not a need thing at this point.

Thanks Chris, very helpful. Sounds like an SC will work well with a BB2, and quite well with an SM. Alex does not say that an SC is not a good pairing with a BB2; it is not recommended that you should avoid this avoid this, particularly, as I had said it perhaps was in my last post. It is still not the "best" combination though, it would seem.

Best pairings are still identical cabs or ones that are matched variants (i.e, horn with horn, no horn with no horn.) Except for SM+ SC which, for some reason, is "the other particularly good pairing".

The only thing I think would be weird about a SC + BB2 is that the BB2 is the larger box and therefore the better "base" for the stack, but I'd rather have the horn on the higher cabinet, rather than the lower one. I'd still rather have the SM, rather than an SC, stacked on my BB2 (as I do often) since the higher cab, SM, has a horn. The quoted text you provide doesn't mention BB2 + SM specifically, but he has indicated via email that this is a good pairing (as the "matched variants" implies should be the case).

Not fully relevant but I will share it anyway since it is peripherally relevant... I had asked Alex this: Since the SM is smaller, it's more stable (IMO) if it is not pushed all the way to the front vertical face of the stack, but rather somewhat back, a bit more centered, since it's front heavy if you have it right to the front edge. Does setting the SM further back cause any phase issues, dispersion effects, etc since the 12" drivers are not vertically aligned in that case, and the horns do not align horizontally when the SM is centered side-to-side on top. Apparently, it is NOT an issue for either phase or horn dispersion. The only difference, IIRC from his remarks, is that setting it back will cause the top SM cab to project its sound a bit more upward (not a bad thing and possibly a good thing). Perhaps Alex can correct me if I am not remembering this accurately. He said just experiment with it, put it where you want, and enjoy. Maybe this info is useful for anyone using stacked cabs that are not identical.

Seems like it is the kind of thing that could slide in under the wire, in time for your gig, but it'll be close. Fingers crossed for you.

From what I've read in this forum, it seems to vary quite a bit. I ordered an FR800 on January 16th, request for balance on February 28th, and I'm still waiting. Other posts on here show different amounts of waiting between those milestones. I've already had a few of those "surely it will be here for this gig!" moments. If it's as good as I read about, it will be well worth the wait.

I am looking forward to hearing about your experience with the FR800, when it arrives. I don't know of anyone that has one.

......be careful....for me, the 1st One10 was a gateway drug to a second........2 are 4 times as pleasing as one.......it's a logarithmic thing.......

The sinereo I wanted to be prepared for actually happened on the very first gig I brought my cabinets. So we set up (it's a big club with a long rectangular room). 7:00 came around an no sound guy. Call him up. He's 2 states away cause he thought ours was Saturday. :bored:
BL blasts him and tells the guy to get his ass down here. So we start the show without him with a spare PA system someone dug up locally. I'm happy to say my 2 BB2's absolutely pulverized that whole club. You could hear me loud and clear inside, outside, the bathroom. You name it!!
The sound guy finnaly shows up. I asked him what he thought of the Bass. He's like "I got you right here" as he points to a level on the PA. I'm like "you better check that again, I'm completely on my own". He didn't believe me and was shocked and amazed when I proved I had no DI out, or a mic. It was a great moment and a great night!! I had a blast!!
