Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

Well, I'll have to live vicariously through you guys for a while longer. FedEx has finally admitted that they lost my BTII. They actually asked if I wanted them to keep looking for it. Nah, it's been invisible for 2 full weeks, I'm not gonna wait for another 2 weeks for FedEx to say the same thing. Hopefully, FedEx wil get with @alexclaber soon so we can move forward on this.

Ahh man. Sorry to read.
Some folks were giving me some guff about complaining they screwed up my order. FedEx needs to get their stuff together.

Bummer! While it's not Alex's fault, I hope he can find an opportunity to put your replacement build order toward the front of the line. I know he'll do the very best he can for you.

Oh yeah, I know this has nothing to do with Barefaced Audio. Those guys have been fantastic to deal with and they've already said they'd push another build to the front. I just need FedEx to step up, get the refund to Barefaced in an expedient timeframe, and get this show back on the road...

:rage:

Hopefully FedEx at least makes getting a replacement as painless as possible for you.

Ya' know, I'd say the same thing about FedEx, but UPS did the exact same thing to me last year. It is amazing how the smallest box can get somewhere safely, but a ginormous box can fall thru a crack in the system. If FedEx or UPS would offer the ability for customers to go look for their packages if possible, they'd have less complaints. I could've taken a day off, driven to Memphis, probably spent a day searching if they'd have let me, and been done. They just need a better system for "lost" packages...

Painful.

Unfortunately I suspect that part of the reason for declaring an item lost is the amount it was insured for. If they already spent enough time looking for it (i.e. the labor cost of the person or people looking for it) then they'll simply declare it lost and pay the insurance claim because it's not worth their money to continue paying people to keep looking for it. Easy decision for them, but it sucks for the customers they screwed - both the shipper and the recipient.

I totally agree with your assessment. At some point, even a $1,500 package isn't worth searching for. They shoulda' made that call a week ago...lol!

I just put down my deposit on a 210. I've been lurking around this thread for well over a year, I'm really excited to finally pull the trigger!
Awesome! I am really interested in a Barefaced 2x10 to replace my awesome (but heavy) Mesa 2x10. Excited to hear what you think after you break it in!

I thought I wanted a Mesa PH210 a few years ago. I never really got the sound I wanted out of it when trying it in the shop. I hoped it would be like a scaled down version of the 610. The BF Two10 is a no brainer by comparison, based on my memory of owning/trying each cab.

How does FedEx lose such a large package going OVERNIGHT???

Tracking Number ???

Here's an update...allegedly, and I mean that in the loosest sense of the word, FedEx has managed to find my cab. I emailed Alex this am and he emailed back and said they told him they found it. Since I have slightly less than ZERO confidence in FedEx, and they'd already admitted to me that they considered it lost, I called them and the said they did, indeed, find my cab. They just needed my address. So I gave them my address, again. They said it could be tomorrow, it could be Monday. I said #@%* no! That was supposed to be at my house two weeks ago, it better be here by Saturday! Of course, there's nothing I can do about that, but it felt good to vent. Someone is supposed to call me and let me know if they're using the same tracking number or a new one, so now, I'm waiting again...I will not be holding my breath.

I'll letcha know.

My experience with FedEx is not as bad as all that, but I would definitely have big packages delivered to the nearest FedEx office where I would pick it up myself. So far I've gotten two Barefaced cabinets (both of which I love) that way with no hassles.

Fantastic, I hope!

And I'll bet you they don't have a problem finding your address when they go to send you the import duty tax bill.
