The D800 is a great amp. How does it sound through the Big Twin?
Well, right now it sounds killer, but I'm at bedroom volume or slightly louder. I'll be able to give you a much better opinion after tomorrow night. I'm expecting an xlnt tone night...

Wow! I didn't realize until seeing that picture with all your gear how compact the Barefaced 410 is! I'm strongly considering purchasing a Barefaced product once in a position to do so, but I find several of their products appeal to me and I'm not sure which way to go. I'm definitely a fan of colored Old School Bass tone , as I'm playing mostly Funk and R&B from the late 60s through the 70s. Couple questions for you. First of all how do you like the sound of your Mesa amps through the BF410? I have an M9 carbine which I love and I'm curious to know how Mesa gear sounds through Barefaced cabs. Secondly, how loud and low does it get, and how do you find the dispersion of tone around a stage particularly in the mid-range? Looks like an amazing rig you have their brother , enjoy it and play the scheisse out of it!Doing some amp comparisons at home tonight through my Four10.

Is yours the 8ohm or the 2ohm?Right? I had a Two10 so I shouldn't be shocked st the size of the Four10. However it looks super compact![]()
Have fun at the gig, let us know how the cab held it's self?
My cab is almost finished.. can't wait for it to get here and be 'real' as well
I received the 'pay up' -email, but no IBAN + Swift/BiC account was mentioned for the banktransfer.. which is what i (my bank) need.

+1I highly recommend paypal for making a payment to Barefaced. I looked into bank transfer and it was kind of a nightmare. Did paypal instead, and it was simple, and actually didn't cost more than what the sire transfer fee to the bank would have been. Others have tried to pay by transfer and got nowhere, and in the end did paypal anyway, with much more reliable results, with less efforts.
I don't have a Mesa amp at the moment, but I do have a Big Twin II and a Four10. I agree with all your observations about the the Four10.Thank you sir. As far as your questions go:
1) Both Mesas sound great through the cabinet. The Four10 does the sealed cab tone really well, only with more punchy lows. My personal preference is toward the D800 so I will probably end up listing the Prodigy at some point in the near future, but that is more personal amp preference than anything else. I've owned an M6 Carbine in the past, and from what I remember, the M6/M9 are more modern, the Walkabouts are more vintage sounding, and the Subways are pretty much in the middle.
2) It gets very loud and more punchy than super deep. There is a lot of low end, but the cabinet doesn't go as low as the modern 12 designs due since it is styled to be more of a vintage sealed cabinet. The dispersion is great - we ran the D800/Four10 combo at a local open mic a few weeks ago as a backline, and I played a little guitar on the opposite side of the stage for a bit. I could hear the bass clear as day on my side, it was almost louder than the guitars and monitors were. I've been pretty impressed with the engineering of these cabs, so much that I'm considering a Two10 to have a modular 610 stack!.
For the record I've never played any of their cabs with the 12"s in them, so I don't know how they compare tone wise. But I've been very happy with my purchase of the Four10.
I got my hands on an AG700. I'm not able to give a direct comparison because my MBF800 is still blown. The AG700 has much fuller midrange presence, whereas the MBF800 is more of a scooped sound. The tube growl is lacking in the AG700 but it still has that Aguilar punch. Both are amazing amps. I wish I could afford to own both of them!Ditto was @DaveAceofBass said. I'd be most interested in your take on the new AG700, and especially how it sounds a) w/ Barefaced cabs and b) how it specifically compares to the GK MB Fusion 800. I have BF cabs and run the MBF800 often.
Does anyone know where I can try a Barefaced cab near Toronto , Canada?
