Not confusing at all, and thanks for the input. I've never given a 2nd thought to having a collection of 4hom-min-load amps, until now. D800+ sounds like a good amp. Maybe when I sell an amp or two I might find out how I like them... but then again I kinda want to try an Handbox 400 as my next amp.... which is not 2-ohm capable. So many flavors of awesome out there these days.

Will the 3 drivers in the Two10 and One10 all get the same amount of power? Prolly doesn't matter for this question whether the Two10 is 4 or 12.

@chris_b : just read your reply, thanks. Dammit, might have to get a small 2-ohm capable amp now. Or balance the gigantic Super Bassman on the top of the Two10/One10 stack. Not fond of either, as I won't be buying anything for a while after this purchase.

The Handbox is available with a 2 ohm option. It's a $50 upgrade and bumps output up to around 640 Watts into 2 ohms. My cabs are all 4 ohms, so 2 ohm operation is a regular occurrence for me, and that head into a pair of EA Wizzy M-lines makes a powerful, glorious racket.

Yup. I'm guessing the 10' drivers in a 6x10 cabinet are going to take my effects beautifully over the 12's. Still light enough to gig with, perfect height to place an amp atop, and the price of the 8x10 jumps exponentially from there.
6x10 best bang for my buck....

No nerves, no common sense, but a bit of whisky and the knowledge that the taxman owes me a couple bucks, made it happen. I have been lurking on this thread for about a year now, and I finally pulled the trigger a few days ago. 2X10 4/12 switch, steel grill. VERY Grateful for the heads-up here on TB about the coming price increase.

I have an Mesa Boogie 2X10 at 4 Ohms and ~fifty pounds, combined with the BF running at 12 ohms, that makes a 3 Ohm 4X10. I will rarely need that config, but I think I'm going to like it when I do.

What head do I need, without breaking the bank???
