I hear you on this, but the Six 10 will take up more space in the van and to be honest the Four 10 does everything I need and more. I did consider putting castors on mine but Alex advised strongly against this, so I simply cat a wood baseboard with much the same footprint and put wheels on it. Works great, amp sits on cab for load in and the Four 10 is an easy lift off the trolley base.

Picture? Trying to envision this, for my own possible borrowing. Seems like I cover enough rough pavement at times that without a handle a la hand truck the Four10 would slide off the platform when I hit a crack or parking lot unevenness. I have been using a standard small dolly which work okay, but I can't stack on it much, what with the angle in transit.
Once I got an SC with silver, I could really feel the difference weight-wise, vs. an SM with black steel. Love the cloth grills!
I really love the look of the silver cloth but I went with steel grills on my BB2's because I felt steel would provide better protection. However, when I posted that here a while ago Alex said the cloth was stretched as tightly as a trampoline and would protect the drivers as well as the steel grills.
I don't regret my choice, but I would find it interesting to compare the weight of a cloth BB2 to my cabs and see how noticeable that three pound difference is. Maybe that would have helped changed my mind? It's hard to imagine those cabinets getting any lighter than they are now!

Interestingly the prices on the active FR800s and LF1400s haven't changed to 'TBA' like the rest of the range.
Anyone ever run the 210 with a BB2- together? 2.67 ohm load.
Reason I ask is I might like to have both. One for old school sonics(210) and one for modern tones. Occasionally, I might run them together for outdoor gigs.

I have two BB2's as well. Looks like us South Jersey guys have more Barefaced cabs per mile, than anywhere else
Anyone prefer the black cloth over silver? Has anyone seen any custom cloth colors from Barefaced? I know they've been dabbling in some special order stuff.
Kind of regretting not making a purchase. Was thinking of going for a Two10 with a cloth grill at 4ohms. Would maximize my Subway D800 amp, but the Super Compact is plenty for my needs.

Well I missed grabbing a companion for my 210, but I'm still certain it'll happen at some point. I'm really excited about my acquisitions this year. Warmoth 30" p-bass with Geezers though Mesa D800+ and BF 210 is really in another territory compared to my previous setup. Sound-wise and schlep-wise.
I'm just going to take my time selling off things, and socking away the money for the next 210.

I ordered a second super compact yesterday. Currently using the first one with the mesa D800. Loving the sound and ease of load in/out.
Both compacts together with the mesa will be my new "big rig". It's probably time to let go of the ampeg fridge...

I didn't end up ordering an extra cab in the big February rush, but I did order a piece of non-slip shelf liner so that my amp stops sliding off my cab.
I just decided that yeah, I could get a Super Midget now and it'd be cheaper, but I could also get it a year from now when I actually need it. My Super Compact is working so well by itself. It's only been a few weeks and everybody who plays in my rehearsal room raves about that cab. I play bass and guitar, so other bassists have played through it by now, and they're all like, "I like this cab better than the last one."
In an ideal world, I think I'd have one Super Midget, one Super Compact, and one Big Baby II. That way, I can have five different rigs based on what I need (SM, SC, BB, SM + SC, SM + BB).

That's what I have...very versatile! (and don't forget, SC + BBII = 6)
NOT spending is something rarely regretted, unless it's a once-in-blue-moon opportunity, or a critical need. As you say, you can always get one later; it's not one of a kind and they are going to continue to make as many as people will buy. If you NEEDED a cab NOW that would be different. You'll be glad hwen you pay off your car, or aren't wiped out by an unexpected bill or setback. If you're in doubt, then it's probably better not to throw down. Sometimes I decide to wait a week/month/year and then see if I still want it; too often I find that I don't (or realize I don't need it). You know the old saying about boutique bass cabs-- he who hesitates has an extra $1000 in the bank

I've owned one of each at the same time but never paired them.
My power amp arrives today. I expect to connect myBB2 duo and make a beast of a PA. Come on, delivery truck!
