My BT2 just arrived and I've played it a bit. Pretty amazing cab capable of housequaking lows and volume. I'm scared to really open it up inside because everything starts vibrating. There is so much vibration I'm having a hard time getting a sense of the clean sound because of the rattling all around. Some notes are causing crazy resonance that I finally managed to trace to my drum set.
Thanks for the warning. I'm vigilant about being too loud. Besides I run the reggae band so nobody's going to fire me
Forgot to mention that the walkabout sounds awesome with this cab. And ironically this combination weighs less than my scout combo.
I tried to use the WA with the SC but it was underpowered for my purposes.
Also tried the Orange TB1000 and a Crown XLS 1000 with Aguilar Tone Hammer pedal. These too will get insanely loud but don't sound as sweet to my ears.

Got a chance to play the BT2 with a band yesterday. It is remarkable how much extra heft the BT2 has over the SC. The low notes have a much more visceral feeling to them. I always thought the SC sounded great but the BT2 is a whole other level of greatness. Didn't get any volume complaints from anybody either.
BTW. Things got really loud in the room (not sure of sqft, but it's a decent sized dance/yoga stufio). I don't usually push the cabs that hard, but at a crescendo-moment the audience got pretty loud, so I pushed some volume. I started to pucker, a little, but the BB2 pair kept going, and sounding good. I love these cabs.
So after playing with my Super Midget, BB2 and 6X10 for a few years now. I've got to say they're all awesome in their own way but for a do everything for any situation cabinet the BB2 is the clear winner for me.

I actually just used it in a pinch situation for the first time really since getting the 6x10 and I gotta say the little guy crushed it (at least for the space I was in at the time) so no thanks.
The SM really is the ultimate light weight, light traveling for "almost" anything cabinet. If you've got great FOH you can easily just use it as your monitor. A excellent svelte inner city option for the gigging Bassist indeed. It's also probably the perfect cabinet to pair with the BB2 if one really wanted/needed the full spectrum sound and volume. Yes, still quite happy with my Barefaced cabinets and using them all.
Hmmm, I wonder how that would work on top of my Super Compact, for those gigs where I just want a little more? Then I could use it on those small gigs or travel gigs where I need a little less.
And the SC for those gigs in between.

I considered that at one point, but (IIRC) Alex stated wasn't one of the better combinations. Not that it was bad, but that other combos (like a second SC) were better.

When I first inquired to him about what would best suit my needs, I told him what I have and what my needs are. He said the SC would suit me best, and if I wanted bigger and louder to get a second one. Your answer corroborates that. Cheers!

I need to try one of the 10 inch cabs. I've always wanted to get hold of a 610. Anyone around Richmond got one?
Covers are extra. I've got two different versions (one on each BB2). Not sure which one came from BF factory (maybe both).
