No, I'm sure I didn't say that! SM plus SC works great. As does SM plus BB2. Or pairs of matching 1x12XN cabs. The one I'm not so keen on is SC plus BB2.

Do you really need to play THAT loud?!! ;-)
Maybe on an outdoor gig with my reggae band. It is hard to have too much when you are playing outside.
I have a possible dilemma. I did a trade deal and ended up with a Super Twin. It's a fantastic cab but so much more than I need...especially since 80% of my gigs are ampless. So I wanted to see if anyone with a smaller cab is interested in trading up for my ST cab. If so PM me. Photo is attached.

I'd love to get a Barefaced 215 cab that matches the size of my 610. Barefaced doesn't care about the needs of people with OCD about their cabs matching in size.

@alexclaber Please explain why you're not so keen on the SC + BB2.....that combo is My Jam! I have an SM, SC, and BB2. After much experimentation with different combinations, I chose the SC+BB2. Hmm...

Glad to hear that! I was getting confused when I saw that post since I thought I remembered you saying the SM + SC were a good match -- that was the basis for my longer term plan to eventually get an SM to go with my SC.
Hey shadowrider, That sounds like a plan that might work for me too. Either that or a 2nd SC; whichever comes along first.

I may not use the tweeter much (just keep the crossover freq cranked high), but it seems like it would be nice to have it there if/when needed...
Mesa D800+. I discussed my needs with Alex. I have never desired or needed a tweeter in the past 40 years. Based on that, he said I'm not likely to be needing one in the future.
