I am very interested in hearing more about these.Yes, it arrived on either Wed or Thurs if I remember correctly. I've only had a couple of hours on it so far, I think it must need more play time for the speakers to break in/open up yet though to get the best out of it. I'll update once I decide what I think. I'd imagine you won't have to wait too long now!
I need a two10. Why are the covers like $80 or something like that?
I have been using Neo speakers for about a decade now. It has been a very long time since I've had some old school ceramic speakers, and I am getting an itch to get some just to have.Got my Big Twin II early in December. I've played through it 5 times and all I can say is believe the hype. I bought this to replace my beloved Aguilar GS 412, which is too heavy to lug around, so I decided on getting a 2x12. Got a Markbass New Yorker 122 and it sounded ok, but when I would dime the master on my Quilter BB 802 the cab would get all flubby and farty. Sold the Markbass and ordered the BT2. It sounds amazing and can get amazingly loud, every bit as loud as my GS 412. I've played it many times at home in my bedroom studio (can't crank it because it may cause structural damage to my house) and the 5 times I mentioned above were in a rather large TV production studio, where I cranked the crap out of it. Very impressive, Barefaced!
I got a cover for my One10 from LeCover for $67 shipped. That was the upgraded padded one. I think the one from BF was a 60GBP upgrade.
Barefaced 10s are ceramic. I didn't know that in the beginning and Alex actually answered that question for me in an email. 12s are Neo.I am very interested in hearing more about these.
I have a Big Twin II, but am thinking of some "old school" 210 speakers just to have as a contrast to the high tech 212.
The Aguilar DB210 is on my shortlist. However, if Barefaced gets a similar "ceramic" tone I might be tempted to get another BF cab.
I was just researching that myself. The use of the word "ferrite" threw me off.Barefaced 10s are ceramic. I didn't know that in the beginning and Alex actually answered that question for me in an email. 12s are Neo.

Definitely get your cabinet WITH the Barefaced cover if you want one. The guy I bought my second Big Baby 2 from didn't get the cover and I wanted a matching Barefaced cover since I got one with my first cabinet. It cost me $168 to buy it by itself.just looked it up. $80 if you buy it with the two10 and $148 for the cover by itself...

Much smarter to get it when you order!![]()
Right, I get that. Actually, I bought Tuki's for my pair of "other cabinets".Studio Slips and Le Cover do them all for a lot less. And my Le Cover is bright orange!
Roqsolid covers used to make the Barefaced covers. They are a little less expensive and more customizable, and they fit like a glove.
My favorite stand is a Two10sAny One10 owners have stand recommendations? I use a folding wedge right now, but this thing is so small I just know I'll want it closer to me on stage.
Starting to think about adding a second cab to my Compact, and just looking for opinions on which to get. I'm not sure which generation the Compact is, but it's a 15" that I bought new in early 2011 (a decade goes by fast!).
My gut is to get a Super Compact, and I have heard they work well together, but just curious if anyone had tried an older model with a Super Midget? I'm assuming a One10 wouldn't be a good pairing, but open to suggestions.
