When it shows up, I'll try to remember to come back and post some pics of the cloth grill.
I chose it because it shaves off a bit of weight and looks freakin cool. I'm usually really careful with my cabs and have never torn a cover before - knock on wood - and I'm sure they're gonna use the highest quality materials on it.
Now I just gotta keep my mind occupied for the 5 weeks to build it. I guess that's what practice is for.
For what it's worth:
What Alex Claber said in a post (from 2017) was "I've yet to hear or think of any mode of damage where the cloth grill will fail to provide adequate protection - it's not like the cloth on hi-fi speakers, you could build a trampoline from it. We threw our lump hammer at a cloth grill a few times and it just bounced off."
In a later post (2019) Alex said "The first person to damage a driver because the cloth grill hasn't provided sufficient protection can have a free replacement driver from us. It hasn't happened once in the last decade and I can't see it happening in the next ten years."
(My SuperCompact and One10 both have the cloth grille. They've been great!)

I still like that with a steel grille it does not matter which side I have to me when I lift the cab as I can brace the steel against me without worrying. I would not do that with cloth.
Seems to me if you're playin' "Bob's Country Bunker" that the cloth grill will protect the speakers from spilled or flying beer better than open mesh metal. It made it thru that chicken wire.
IIRC, I think he might have said that first quote in response to a post I made.
I remember him making a comparison to trampolines.

Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
In my experience, the cloth is pretty strong and tight. I'd have no issues owning another.
When I move My Supertwin it honestly feels like a toy. I never need more volume but I always bring a fantastic 2x10 from another maker that I carry in my other hand while rolling the ST. My Tube head is my heaviest piece of kit at 48LB but worth every once of energy it take to drag it on stage.
I played around with Ric-o-Sound with that setup and it was pretty dang cool. It was like 1/2 mile from the car to the "stage". Next time I bring a Folding hand truck.

My first bf was a BTII, and never regretted it. i hope you have the same experience with your super twin

Just found a Big Twin T used. Should I buy that one, or save for a Big Twin 2? Anyone tried them both? Sonic difference etc?

The Big Twin T probably sounds good, but I don't think those have been in production for a while. I think the goal is the designs is similar (full range, flat response) but the newer models use a different woofer, and have a single compression driver instead of a three way crossover. I wish could offer more insight, but I haven't played the older designs.
If you don't get much feedback here, consider the UK site BassChat. There's a decent history of barefaced users there.
Then you could try an email to Barefaced. They'll answer the question better than we can.

While waiting for the SuperTwin to be built, I saw that someone had a Six10 for sale in the classifieds.
I went ahead and got it, and took it to rehearsal tonight:
What an absolute beast.
With the Aguilar AG700, I never had to turn the volume up more than the 3 or 4 position - and we have a super loud guitarist and drummer.
There is no doubt in my mind that if I had dimed the volume knob, the cab would have just been begging for more power. But I would also have leveled the house that we were playing in.
I'm still looking forward to the Super Twin so that I can compare the 10s and the 12s.
