6 months on, I love my BB2. I've owned lots of cabinets over the (last 30) years, and this is by far and away the best sounding, for more styles of music and playing, than anything I've ever heard. I only wish I'd ponied up for the Big Twin 2, for reasons of pure sonic greed.

I have two BB2'S. Makes for a great modular setup.
Have BB2 and BT2, my BT2 is sitting in corner because of COVID, I do only small gigs for now... but BB2 is just perfect
Agreed. I aleays take both, but there have been times when I only connected the top one and used the bottom cab as an expensive amp stand.
I've found that a single BB2 can handle a typical bar gig.
At LEAST as good as the BB2, plus the form factor improvements.
Anybody here using a Darkglass Microtubes 500 V2 with their Barefaced cab? Particularly a SuperTwin?
Thinking about getting one, but not sure yet. I'm in a fairly loud rock band. Do you find that the 500 is enough power, or should do you wish you got the 900?
Also, most of the demos I see are going for very vintage sounding tones. How about more modern tones like funk, pop, and gospel?
PS... Been gigging and rehearsing with the SuperTwin for over a month now, and at least once per session, our drummer will stop whatever he's doing and say, "damn that cab sounds awesome!"

Man, finally got my new rig and twin turbo, blow your socks off bare bottomed cab out for some gigs... Holy devine baby Jesus that big twin 2 kicks the crap of of my old ampeg hlf... I can carry the twin2 with one hand and not need spinal surgery after every gig.
It's got the big bottom just like spinal tap and the clarity to boot. It's handling anything I throw at it. Love it.. best investment I've ever made.
When I grow up and make it to the big time I'll be buying more!
Markbass Marcus miller 1000watt limited edition head paired with it is mental, also use a markbass little mark 3. Retro tones for the aul Jameson stuff, modern tone, slappy wappy and tappy all sound insane with the cab. Even the subatomic reggae stuff the cab can handle man.

Although very efficient these cabs like the power, I'd go bigger for sure.
I'd go large. You can always turn down, but you can't turn up if you haven't got the power in the first place.

Go with maximum power. Your cab will need smth around 1000 W, they DO like power. I drive my single One10 and SuperMidget with 800 Watt Quilter and they don't break a sweat.
Totally agree with this. I use a Mesa 800÷ or Bergantino Forte hp with those cabs and they need the watts to work best ime. I recently loaned my one 10 to a friend to try in a two one 10 stack with an Ampeg pf50t tube head and he found it was way too warm and bloomy. Watts are cheap these days and the ampeg 50 is about the same price as a mesa 800 but two different beasts. That said my six 10 is beautifully tight and punchy driven by an Orange 200 tube head. I know the barefaced cabs are reasonably efficient but they do seem to like a few hundred watts to perform at their best. Not a bad thing at all, just worth bearing in mind. Of course ymmv.

Hey all! I'm looking for a portable amp solution to go with my 2* Two10s. I currently have an Ampeg V4B which I will be keeping but want something for loud rehearsals. We are a punk/ska band so need to keep up with decent headroom. So I guess I am looking at something around the 1000W mark. I was never keen on the Mesa Subway 800 offering. Bergantino Forte hp or Darkglass perhaps?? Any suggestions welcome!
Has anyone tried the One10T? If so what's your impression? (I have a One10 but sometimes miss the highs.)

If you get a chance try the GK Legacy. I have the 800w version I use with my 2xTwo10s', but they also have a 1200w version. My only complaint about it is the power switch in the back, which really isn't much of an issue.
Sorry for the delay....to follow up my 1st test with Bass>>Diamond Bass Comp>>Mesa WD800>>BB3 with full band last Monday......the rig excelled as expected ....2 moderately loud guitars, drums, bass......I didn't come close to pushing it anywhere near its' max volume potential. I can get all the sounds I was accustomed to with my Mesa 115, albeit with different eq points, just as I had hoped. Keeper it is
