My experience was the same. I got a One10T to use as a practice cab and I was so impressed I ordered another One10 to pair with it and use it on gigs. These are fantastic cabinets.

Has anyone run the old Compact 15 together with a new Super Compact?

I have a Compact, and would like to expand my rig to take full advantage of my head at 4ohm. I'm thinking my options are either:

A - get a Super Compact (or more specifically a Super 3rd, as it looks like it'd sit perfectly on the Compact) and have a modular stack - roughly £900

B - get a Two10, have a single cab solution at £750, with minimal weight gain. Less options as far as going with one cab to practice, but maybe less issues with mixing and matching different speakers

Any thoughts or opinions on the way to go here? I'm kind of leaning towards the Super 3rd, but there's a lot I like about the Two10 as well. For the same price as the SC I could add a tweeter to the Two10, as well.

The 10's sound very different from the 12's. I owned a pair of four10's and a BT3.

I don't think they'd pair well at all.

I apologise, I may not have been very clear - I'd either run the Compact 15 and Super Compact 12 together (2 x 8ohm), or just use a single Two10 at 4ohm, and leave the Compact at home.

I wouldn't be pairing the Two10 with anything in the Compact line, as you say, I've heard they wouldn't pair well together before.

Seems like this would be counter-productive, as the Compact 15 by itself would likely have more output than a Two10. I would get a Super Compact or Super 3rd and to use with the Compact 15, then use one or the other when you don't need both.

I had a handful of Tecamps in the last decade and liked them a LOT. but they were always a little too relaxed/polite and pillowy in the lows. The Eich T900 took everything I loved about the Puma and made it more firm and direct sounding. The EQ and taste filters are spot on and it's LOUD. and tiny. If you're looking for clean and transparent but not sterile, its an excellent choice.

Transparent but not sterile is also the definition of the Quilter.

Super loud, sounds great, super light.
The lows provide lot of heft and are never muddy, medium frequencies are beautiful, highs are cristal clean and never harsh. When you push the gain, there's a sort of limiter that is hard to explain, but I like it even though I usually don't like compression. Some say it feels like a tube amp.

I don't know the Eich T900, I'm sure it sounds great too.

There's one obvious difference though: the Quilter's EQ is incredibly simple (that's what I was looking for), while the Eich's EQ seems to be much more versatile - I'd like to try the Taste knob…

I have had both the BB800 and BB802 and I like them a lot. I think their strong point is the power section which is pretty remarkable for amps in their price point/power rating, etc. I had a really good luck using them as power amps, bypassing the preamps using the effects return. I definitely prefer the eich as an overall product but the quilters are killer. That limiter is really nice, not my thing, but really well executed.

If you don't use the Taste knob does it mean you have no taste?
