I can see that 250Hz slide down a bit, I tend to do the same.
How do you guys and girls EQ your Barefaced 12s and what amp do you use?

I use a Demeter VTBP-M-800D and leave the EQ flat unless the room needs something else. I keep the tweeter about halfway. I want to transmit those upper harmonics from my low-gain synth bass effects, though I also have some pedals in my chain which roll-off a bit of the high end.
I had one of those heads and used it with a BB2. Great sounding combo. EQ settings would depend on the style of music and pedals in the chain. I usually had the "tweeter" off with lots of fuzz, but would dial it up about halfway for clean sounds.
Right now I'm running a TT-800 with one or two BB3's. I leave the horn wide open - it sounds so natural (unlike most tweeters, especially from 90's era cabs) that I leave it on. Only cab I do that with and enjoy. I keep the subway channel of the head EQ'd for a modern, slightly scooped bass tone. The boogie channel is pushed - gain up, mids up. I use the HPFs on each channel to suite the room.
I'm really happy to hear this. My BB3 is in the que, so a month or two from now, I'm guessing. Getting excited.
I got my bb3 two weeks ago. I run the tweeter high, as I'll often run a beat buddy if the drummer doesn't come to practice, and it sounds great. I also run berg nxt112's, and the balance is similar, although the nxt's don't have the bottom end authority of the bb3. The bb3 is like having a good 112 and sub in one cab. It's a bit amazing. Get excited.
Has anyone played both a BB3 and a Fearless F112? I've read some threads comparing older models of the BB line with Fearless, and it seems like maybe they're very close to each other. Just asking as a Fearless F112 owner who is intrigued by Bareface cabs without having heard them.

Here! I am F112 owner for 3 years now and BB3 owner for one week. I still need to test the BB3 in more situations, but they don't sound the same.

Id also be curious about a comparo between the BB3 and F112. They would seem to have similar performance characteristics based on my limited experience with F112, and my time with the BB3 for a forthcoming review in Bass Musician Mag, but it sounds like the tone/presentation is different. Would love to hear what this looks like for someone who has gigged with both.
I have to say, I am mucho mucho impressed with the BB3.
I've got an order in for a BB3, but I'm contemplating changing that order to a Big Twin 3. Opinions?
I've got a BB2 and love it, it's perfect for my current situation, which is mostly playing with friends and an occasional small gig, but if I were still gigging seriously, I'd probably want to add another cab, not because the BB2 won't get loud enough by itself, but because I like the extra headroom of having 2 drivers.
So, in answer to your question, I think it depends on what kind of gigs you're doing. Small coffee house gigs, or even small bar gigs are fine with a BB2/BB3, but if you find yourself playing outside occasionally, or in larger rooms, or with excessively loud guitarists, you should either consider 2xBB3 cabs (which is a nice and versatile setup), or just go ahead and get the Big Twin.
For a definitive answer, consider contacting Alex at Barefaced and discussing your situation with him. He is well known for giving excellent advice on which cabs to use for different situations.
I'm trying to leave Alex alone for a while. He knows I ordered a BB3, and he's aware that my mind isn't fully made up about going with the BB3 or a BT3. It's not critical until he starts building the cab. I still owe the rest of what I haven't yet paid for the BB3, so they're not going to start building anything until they get more money from me, so I have that long to vacillate.
The fact that I'm ordering a Barefaced cab at all is because my Phil Jones rig ran out of gas at an outdoor gig. Rather than getting another Phil Jones cab, I decided to go in another direction, and this is where I ended up.
The reasons I would get a BT3 over 2 BB3s is price/savings, and BT3 is more compact than stacked BB3s.
Full disclosure: The amp I was using at that outdoor gig was a Mesa D-350 with my Phil Jones C8 cab. It might have been the amp that ran out of gas, not the cab. Nevertheless, I'm on the Barefaced train now. In my brain, the arguments go something like this:
For BB3 -- It's less money up front. I can get two cabs and spread the pain over several months. I can get one cab with a neon green baffle, and the other with a cyan baffle. And I can use just one cab for small gigs.
For BT3 -- Buy once, cry once. The BT3 is more stable than a stack of BB3s. Wheels.
If you are replacing a C8 then 1 BB3 or even Super Compact will do the job very well. I have put a 500 watt amp through my BB2 and even at 8 ohms it was louder than my previous 4 ohm 2 112 Berg stack. It was also the case with my stand alone SC.
Because of back issues, I always go for a modular approach. 2 112 cabs gives me 2 options and each is easier to carry than one larger cab. Wheels on a cab doesn't get you across a gravel car park, across grass or up and down stairs. For wheels I use a sack trolley. Bigger wheels works better on more surfaces and can carry more gear in one go. Small er cabs are easier to carry. Since moving to sub 30lb cabs I don't even use the trolley much. I lessened the cost by buying my first cab from Alex and getting the second cab from the classifieds. If you are on a stage where stability of 2 cabs is an issue I wouldn't be on that stage in the first place.
