Thanks for your report. I love hearing words like "magical," and someone else described this combo as "glorious!" I know words and opinions are subjective but when you say this combo is "fairly clean at low volume," are you saying that it sounds dirty as soon as you start to enter medium volume on up? And if so, would it be the speakers starting to break up, or the amp getting distorted. I don't mean to put you on the spot, just wondering if you can clarify your thoughts. Thanks again!
Really for me it was a combo. If i got loud with the tube amp, it was more the amp getting dirty. I also had a quilter BB800 which nailed the 'Clean" tube tone and could get very loud. If I just used the Quilter and only used the 210 in a full band setting the speakers would ad some grit at those levels. So, if you want clean with a classic sound and good punch go with the larger cabs. YMMV
