New stack day. Someone in San Diego was offloading some 12's so I picked up a Super Midget to pair with my BB2g3. I was SHOCKED to hear what one driver vs two sounded like. Thicccc. Love my 2x bb3s. Gets the cab closer to ear level and the pair can move a ton of air.

Has anyone tried mixing drums and bass together and putting it through a two10st, I think the drivers would handle it, any thoughts or opinions, would the cymbals be too much for the tweeter?

Amp acquired! It's a silly small (and light) setup but super grunty.

Private event. A traditional decades-long Irish annual family reunion in NH.
Barefaced Audio BB3x2 cabs being pushed by EA iAMP Classic. Basses in the rack today are Spector NS-2, first year Music Man DarkRay (58/100) in Granite (because we are in the Granite State) and Sadowsky Basses 4-24 custom. Dingwall Guitars ABII custom on standby tonight.

A marathon 5hr+ gig, tons of guest artists, finished around midnight after a few rounds of song roulette with the guests ("do you know this one?" "What key?" …2,3,4!).

Side note: Try pulling Talk Talk's "It's My Life" out of your arse on the fly when the act is just keys, an acoustic, and vocals. Zero tonal space to hide or grab a clam.
Glad I had experience with the two well-known versions of it (No Doubt recorded it a half step off).

That's Jim (say hi Jim) House concert, no drums trio. Every gig seems to deepen my appreciation Of the CR 10's.
This cab sounds as good or better than the pjb C series for arco.

So this is a really interesting cab. It certainly likes watts and the unique part is feeding it power brings out fullness/richness rather than going super loud immediately. I'm wary of starting a volume war but it sounds really good with a healthy master volume push. First gig with it tomorrow. The venue is a wine bar we've played before and it's a place we strive to keep the band volume down. Will be interesting to see if I like the Super Twin better than the 1x12 I usually bring for these types of deals.

So now I can tell my wife I need a splitter and two MG800s along with two more BB3s.

You don't even need a splitter, you can take the effects send of the master amp into the effects return of the slave amp and it's a done deal.

I LOVE that bass part! I have the verse down pat but never quite mastered the bridge and chorus. I'm gonna go have a shot at it right now.

Has anyone gone from a Super Twin to a pair of Super Compacts, or vice versa?
Does one configuration sound bigger/different? Also, anyone with a pair of Super Compacts, does stacking them sideways change the sound at all?
