The user map shows users in Maine, Vermont, and Penn. pretty sure there must be someone in NYC. Not super close.
I just learned about these Barefaced cabinets and have a question. The web sight says the Super Compact and Big baby II can compete with a good 2x12. I play fusion rock through a Genz Benz NeoX 212T. My Shuttle 6.0 has the gain and volume at about noon with the master at about 1 o'clock. Can one of these super 12's cover what I put my Genz through? Anybody have experience with the cabinets I mention, specifically?
Can't comment on the 212 you have. I've happily used a Genz Shuttle 9.0 with a Super Compact in a loud rock band setting with an unrestrained drummer, vocalist maxing the PA along with keys in the PA, and a guitarist through a loud 112 in a rehearsal space. It's loud enough to need ear plugs. No problems with the cab taking it.
Factoring in the lower wattage of your 6.0 and factoring in possibilities for EQ and band loudness, I'd say a Super Compact could work. I just took delivery of my BB2 and haven't pushed it yet, but I think that's the route I'd look if I were you and not looking to change heads. The bigger box feels like it will be bigger sounding based on the little playing I've done with it. Speaking of... It's time to plug in

That's good to hear about having used it at needing earplugs levels, as I need earplugs at practice often....I need to have a cabinet that can replace my Fender TV15 in my 50's rock/country band and it would be great to have the same cabinet fill in for the fusion project. One trip load in being the goal. Just bouncing ideas around for now....thanks for the response.
BB2 SC stacked right now. Mother of all things holy. If this is what a Big Twin 2 is like, game over. This is like bringing a tank to a knife fight.
I use a SC with a GB Streamliner 900 in my 80s rock band. We have 2 guitars, both playing through tube amp half stacks, keys, and drums and we all go through FOH. We are not quiet. The SC keeps up just fine. In fact, it sounds deeper and richer than the GB Uber 410 it replaced. Lots of complinents from my band mates. They all say they love my tone and the bass is so clear and easy to hear all over the stage. It sure is nice to walk in with bass gig bag on my back, cab in one hand, and bag with head and cables in the other
That's what I want. Man, I don't like the little gas bubble I feel forming......These cabinets seem impossible.....a 1x12 that can sound like a 2x12.....but I believe now, more than ever. Man. It's addicting. I had it for the Super Compact. Then added a Super Midget. I've recently added a Big Baby 2, and I briefly has a One10. I gotta decide if I'm selling the SM or the SC, and it won't be easy.

Did you really sell yours in under 15 minutes?
I was going to order one with a silver face from BF, but the idea of saving $300, in lieu of the preferred silver-face, was too much to pass up-- trying to be fiscally prudent with my imprudent purchases, lol. They'll sound the same, regardless of the grill material. So, I scored one of the at least three BB2's that came up in the last week here on TB. I don't think I recall ever seeing a silver face BB2 come up for sale in the classifieds.
I do have a One10 on order from BF so Alex is still getting a decent amount of my money. Which is good-- definitely want to support a business person doing it right!

If all goes well with my Mesa D800 on top of my Retro One 10 and Two10 (should be here next week), I will probably be listing my silver grill faced Super Compacts (covers included). If anyone is interested, PM me.
I really can't get enough of my BB2. Someone said that with a cab like this it helps your playing, well this is exactly what I've found. Every note now sounds clear and strong, and I'm finding my playing has become more precise, and whereas before with my 1212L I would know not to play certain notes on certain strings, I have no issues with the BB2.
As far a volume. I've gone from a 4ohms 2x12 to a 8ohms 1x12 and am now getting told to turn down......by my drummer. I've also stopped using my gramma pad (for now), as the BB2 doesn't have that boomy low end. I can even hear growl on the lowest notes on my 5 string clearly. I'm sure I'll need it at some point though.
I also love the size of the cab. Not too small that it looks silly, or that I have to bend right down to adjust the amp, and tall enough that I can lean my bass against it
By the way, it's seems the word 'Retro" has now been dropped from the name of the 2x10. IIR Alex said that word might give the wrong I presion so he decided to drop it. Sounds like a good reason.
