My One10 just arrived today. I am astounded at how loud it is compared to the C2 below it.

Hey John,
Yeah, the Kern is a desert island piece for sure. I tried this early on when I got my BB803, and at the time my impression was that I liked the sound of the Minnie better (this was long before I got the Super Twin). Your post inspired me to give it another shot, and today the 803 actually sounded punchier and more detailed than the Minnie. I don't know if any confirmation bias was involved, or if the Super Twin being more revealing than my other cabs is a factor, but I'm going to take them both on one of my upcoming gigs and do a more lengthy, real world A/B test.
And I appreciate the tip!

When you add a Barefaced cab you are hearing your amp (and bass) properly, for the first time.

I went from a C4 (sometimes combined with a C2) to a single One10T. The Barefaced is closer to the C4 in terms of volume and low end output but still smokes the PJ cabs in every way IMO.

That was my main reason for replacing it. I often have to walk a fair distance for my weekly gig and carrying the C4 could be a real chore at times. It feels even heavier than it is due to the density and rigid handle. It's a nice sounding cab but wasn't as portable as I had hoped.

I can't say enough about the One10. If you like a more vintage tone voiced cab it's hard to beat.
Looking for a One10T if anyone is looking to sell one.

The T is great, it allows the 'vintage-y' 10CR to easily swing into modern territory. I think what Im hearing isnt so much a 'vintage-y' tonality (whatever that is) but more of an absence of 'modern ported bass speaker'. I hear more neutrality.

The more mid forward tone of the Super Twin T helps me hear myself better in the rock band I'm with. I can scoop the tone a bit with my amp if needed but it's harder to add back what isn't there. All good options, you just need to know what works best for your taste and playing situations.

Nice pairing! I play in a louder classic rock band and gig with one or both or my Big Baby 2's (more often than not it's just one, and that's with a loud guitar player and loud drummer!), but I also have a One10 cabinet and a Magellan 350 head. They mostly get used at home but I also use them at a relatively low volume (at least compared to my gigging band) basement jam I sometimes play in. They're an easy carry, sound surprisingly full, and still provide a surprising amount of volume. Not bad for about 20 pounds of combined weight.

I've used my new Super Twin on about half a dozen gigs or rehearsals so far, as well as some playing at home. I am aware that there is a break in period with the drivers for the low end to fully open up, but I am noticing a lack of fundamental on sub low-E notes that has not improved very much. As I'm pretty much exclusively playing 5 and 6-strings on gigs these days, that is a concern. I've used other cabs in the same rooms and I don't experience this issue with them, so I have a good basis for comparison. I am using the same amps and basses, so I believe I can eliminate them from the equation.

As the Super Twin's frequency response is rated down to 30 hZ I would think the lower fundamentals would be fully present, so I am assuming that there is still some breaking in to do.. For users of the Super Twin or similar Barefaced models, in your experience how long is the break in period typically?
