That would be my only visual gripe with the instrument so far. Otherwise, it seems flawless from a build quality perspective. Now I have to work on the sound- I didn't play much last night because it was late but I'll find out about the infamous Carvin electronics tonight. Should be fun :hyper:

Same here. I opened my case for the first time and it took about 5 sec to say, "what the hell?" It just boggles my mind, but I am used to it now and dont really notice it anymore.

Hey 5-string owners - how would you describe the neck on your Carvin? I know their string spacing is fairly narrow, which I like, but I haven't heard any opinions on the shape of the back of the neck. I'm looking at the B5 specifically, but any opinions would be welcome.

I just got a 1985 LB50K on trade! Frickin' sweeeet, and goes nicely with my PB150 and Carvin 1x15. Plays nicely and has quite a bit of treble and mids which I like. CarvinMuseum.com has a nice page from their catalog for these. The koa and ebony are beautiful. I have since polished it up and changed the strings. What's the deal with people not cleaning their stuff before they sell it on CL?

Back in the day I used to have a Carvin doubleneck and always kick myself for not keeping it. I ended up selling it to Carvin and getting a nice custom Carvin guitar out of the deal though. :D
