My favorite Compressor. Simple, great feature set, and sounds great!I never really thought I had the need for a compressor but this popped up dirt cheap. I'm excited to check it out this weekend.View attachment 1198986
Thanks. They are near mint otherwise but battery doors missing. 30 € each.Nice score! They look mint!
Excellent choices!Bought milkbox and death metal (86b). Haven't got them yet, but I thought you should be informed.
Gonna try this question again, as well as this one - any thoughts on the current run of the DOD 280 Compressor? So, I have an all FX Series board for my guitar rig, and am working on the modern DOD stuff for another board. I've got most of my dirt needs covered, but nothing high gain and thrashy enough. Anything in their modern incarnation that reaches Death Metal or Super American Metal territory? I need something tight and thrashy. The Gunslinger, 250, Boneshaker, and Carcosa are all great, but not tight enough. Thanks.
I know the current BiFET Boost and FX10 are supposed to be the same circuit, but mine act differently. Can anyone confirm that the current run has less gain? To get identical boost, I have to run it about 50% hotter than my old FX10. Is that normal?
Also, it seems odd to me that they’re the same, since there are some obvious differences, at least appearance wise. The knobs positions are reversed! Of course, I don’t know squat about the innards, just an odd observation for two pedals that are supposed to be the same.
Edit: I was a bit zealous in my description. It’s only about 25% more on the knobs. Maybe component drift caused by aging?
Definitely some updates, they have a buffer switch and true bypass now. Tone-wise they seem identical as well. Just an observation, really. They both work great for my needs.im thinking there not 100% the same, as i think they have some updated parts or tweaks on the circuits.
i have on and think its great but never played an original.
