Yes, yes we did!

Anyone think this is a good idea or a stupid idea?
I want to buy an OLP musicman, Rip the neck off, pull off all the hardware, puts an MM pick-up in and get a new MM neck and add to more bolts to the neck joint. SO basically im Taking the body of the OLP and making it Into a MM!

Give me some input.

PS: i will also be painting the body in a burst finish!

IMO by the time you spent the cash and did all that work you could buy a used MM and have the real thing.

Yes but it wont be very own peice of work,+ i already have to of the real thing, im just looking to play around! and its not really true the bass itself is only worth 250$ then the neck i could probably get for about 150 to 200 on ebay or something. then the electronics arent a problem I am able to get them direct! And paint also isent a problem my Friends dad is a paint specialist at PPG so he can mix it or spray it on doesnt matter!

i dunno yet im still debating. Speaking of that does anyone know where i can get a stingray body blank? warmoth doesnt sell Stingrays and i cant seem to find one anywhere! :s

Thanks, it's undeniably a beautiful instrument.

Hey shelly, in a way , your bass does have a matching (natural) headstock ;)

Yeah I know, but a natural headstock matching a natural body just doesn't have the same effect as, say, this...(photo credit to Bryan R. Tyler...beautiful instrument, Bryan!).
