I got mine from Thomann. They have a gigbag for the beatles bass that suits the Epiphone.

Have any of you installed a strap button on the upper horn of the Viola? I know, it doesn't actually have an upper horn, so on the forward upper shoulder, more or less where the strap button would be on a solid body bass?

As this thread is being revived, I'd throw my $.02 in. I store mine in a Warwick Rockbag.

Anyone else notice this bass is really quite loud? I normally set my amp for a Jazz bass or an SG bass at the edge of breakup, and this bass can push it into overdrive, all the time (if I don't back off its volume).

Yes, when I tried one at a local shop (before the shutdown) I actually was shocked at how loud it was. A real boomer.

I ordered a McCartney strap off eBay when I get it will post pic of it

I remember when these came out in the late 90s. I think it's probably one of the best quality Hofner inspired knock offs I've seen.

I tried out the McCartney strap and it didn’t work very good on the epi viola bass, the recess under the fingerboard isn’t deep enough, so everything is out of balance and to short. wouldn’t try it

I got the "World Tours" gig bag. The bass fits quite nicely. It weighs SO MUCH LESS than the hard case & much easier to handle... (for this old guy)

Sounds good. I'm not familiar with World Tours, but checking them online, I see they do have a "Hofner Beatle Bass" gig bag for a reasonable price.
