I was feeling kinda lonely because I hadnt seen this thread and my ESP is my main bass right now.

My LTD B-404SM is my main bass. I bought it new back in December from my local Sam Ash and I love it! The neck is awesome and it feels very comfortable.
Neck thru is 5 piece construction-3 piece maple and 2 walnut stringers and a rosewood board. Body is ash with a spalted maple top.
EMG's through an EMG 3 band EQ, hipshot A bridge and grover tuners. All hardware is "black nickel" which means its kind of smoky gray. Its strung thru-body so it sustains more than I really need.
This is the first new bass I bought in about 15 years and I really enjoy it. It definitely cuts through in rehearsal. I havent gigged with it yet so I cant comment about its performance in a live setting, but if rehearsal is any indicator, I dont think I'll have a problem being heard.

I'll post some pics as soon as I have my wife take a few-she has the camera skills around here.
If anyone is assigning member #'s, I'll take one. If I have to wait till I post pics, thats OK too.

Its good to know I'm not the only ESP player out here!

hmm, never heard of that band before.
anyway, great playing, and great tone:bassist:

Yes, I doubt you will have heard of us. We had some success in the UK releasing 1 album and 4 singles but we called it a day around 2001.

Thank you for the kind comments. I had not played that bass line since 2001 so it was fun learning it again and yes, the ESP is superb and sounds amazing.

Saw all the Club threads around and decided to see if there was a thread for the only club I'd be able to join :(

I too have the B-50, my first and only bass. Got it a few years back for around $4-500 or something, which to me is a bargain even though you US guys pay like a third of that...

Some old pics I took when I first got it. The finish gathers fingerprints like hippies on that south park episode, I only had the thing for like 5 minutes.

Anyway, I find it to be a great bass, the tone you can get from it really shows up it's metally looks (it's really just the headstock that gives that illusion). You can get anything from a snappy mid-scoop tone to a thumpy burbly low down rumble. Especially with the flats I have on it. I think the last two are from when I put on the flats.

Looking at those pics, the fingerboard seems to have darkened a lot of the last couple of years, looks way better.

I've been wanting to get a 6 string for a while now, and have it pretty much down to a yamaha or ibanez model, but I saw some ESP models on the net recently, and they look pretty damn snazzy. I love the neck on my ESP, and if I could get a newer better bass with 6 strings, with that neck, I'd be in heaven.
