Alright, finally read the whole thread lol. Loving my American Sound, I'm impressed on how versatile it is! I'm now taking a look at the California and the UD, might pull the trigger on one of them soon-ish. Can I officially join the Club now? haha

I bought the Boneshaker from Digitech's site for $35, but a $5 pedal is cheaper than Craigslist. I'll keep my eyes open for more deals...

I have a Phase 95 & Pearl Tremor, both minis which I prefer, but the Joyo phase is still on my main board.

have any of the clones of clones of clones made a mini version of the Joyo (based on the Boss or Ibanez?) classic flanger? It's a great pedal but it's one I use infrequently enough to want some of that space back.

I expect the Joyo Raptor Flanger is the same as the Classic, but in the super-tiny Ironman case.
It has 4 knobs with the same names as the Classic, which is a well-regarded product for them.
They probably just repackaged it using surface-mount technology.

The Raptor is a basic flanger with low-ish noise and good bass retention.
I don't use it much, but it does deliver value-per-cubic-inch.

If you do buy a Raptor, please let us know how it stacks up against the Classic.

I got a Ultimate Drive a couple of days ago and absolutely love it. I already have a OJ, but dont use it much.
The UD has outed my Source Audio Aftershock from my board.....for now.
The UD seems very powerful. i cant find a use for the drive level over 'just on', but i love what i hear.

true, all four really are worth a try as they're cheap enough and you will find a buyer if it turns out you don't like it. My experience mirrored what I expected with the AC, I couldn't find a Vox bass sound I liked enough to warrant keeping it on my board. There are other (better is debatable of course) Marshall pedals than the British, and again it's just a matter of real estate for me. My miniscule guitar board was grateful to have the two of these added though.

Neither the British nor the Joyo Plexi (based on the Wampler Plexi) really gave me the Marshall sound that I want. If you would be willing to share your settings with it I'd like to give it another go; while I'd like to have a vintage Super Bass one of these days I'd still like to have a closer early Entwistle tone. I sold the plexi but put the British on my guitar board too.

If you ever get a chance check out a DanElectro DaddyO overdrive it is their take on the Marshall Guvnor and I found it to make a nice Marshall Major/SuperBass noise plus it is such a cool looking pedal.

It seems I'm a little late to the party, but I got a Joyo California sound pedal for Christmas, and I thought I'd read up on it and the other Joyo offerings, so I just finished reading through the entire Joyo club thread. I guess folks have moved on to other pedals these days, but my first impression of the cali pedal is WOW!

A few months ago I went on a dirt pedal search, not being satisfied using a tech 21 VT bass, DG b7k ultra, CM2 in different combos, and I had decided that my next purchase would be a darkglass vintage. I wasn't ready to buy so I put a vintage deluxe in my "save for later" list on my amazon account. During this time apparently I stumbled on a talkbass thread where the Cali sound was mentioned, because I also put that pedal in my save for later list. So when my wife needed to find things for my christmas gifts she she spied in on my long list of items i had saved for later purchase and picked the Cali pedal for a gift. This past Saturday I took my new toy to rehearsal, plugged it in last after the VT, and spent about 30 seconds dialing in an aggresive tone with th voice at 9, the drive at 1, eq all at 12. Brought it up to unity, and god dang the fat punchiness was quite a surprise. Had to lower the bass to 11 and bumped the treble up to 1 o'clock and it was just brutal. Guys in the room were ***. Guitar player described it as very organic. Now I need to spend sime more time and see if I can get the VT deluxe off my pedal board. Monday I ordered the Joyo American, and the plan is to see if I can use those two as my mild grit and aggressive drive combo. I will report back how this all shakes out. I will say this. That Cali sound has something going on that is very very satisfying. Some kind of deep punchy mojo for sure.

I am using the American Sound in the same spot that you are using the California. I have it last in line (well, just before the B3 that I use for delays etc.) and have it set just for a mild break up when digging in. In front of it I have the Ultimate Drive that is set a bit more dirty (although still not super dirty) that I kick in when I want a sound that is slightly more overdriven. When I really want to get overdrive in abundance, which is usually when adding guitar style parts to the loop, I have a tube screamer clone in front of the Ult.Drive which really makes it dirty

(To say I don't like diets and distortions, I seem to have ended up with three different flavours of them!!)

I just picked up an ultimate drive and I really like the sound of it, but goodness gracious it is HOT. I have to keep the gain and level below 9:00 to get near unity gain. Does that seem right?
