Who makes the string retainer seen on the "pseudo-headless" models? It appears that the single micrometer-style bridge / tuner units may be Status. Am I close?

How do the JP pickups sound? Are they single or dual coil? Are the basses with the Qtuner pickups the ones with the large covers? How do they sound?

JP pickups are dual coils.
The big pickups are JP2 pickups. One cover with two JP pickups under it.

Only my bass has a q-tuner in it.

Is the midi peizo on the 8 string fretless going to be available on the CB bass builds? Is the bridge available on none headless basses?

So i would like to inquire about the singlecut bolt on design.
Any issues with it? Does it have the same differences as a double cut neck through compared to double cut bolt on?
any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I dunno. When was the last time you played those few specific spots on an 8-string fretless?

I guess with that many positions for each note, it's not a problem you would run into very often.

I've never been a fan of the sound of this bass but now that it's strung as a piccolo, it seems to be something else.

Thx ari, this bass is an incredible weapon, really dangerous cause of the piezo. No mistake can be hide, you 've to be really clean in your playing, but is a really great exercise.

Yeah, that's a really nice sound for that bass. Piezos on a fretted bass can be a challenge. Maybe I need to cowboy up and fix my technique so I don't worry as much.....

This thread was VERY bad for my already horrible GAS. I hope Cliff decides to build some of those headless basses. I have always wanted a 35" scale headless...among millions of other basses.
