Regarding the announcement.... I honestly couldn't be happier. A BG5 is absolutely the next bass I would buy, and to have a special LOG version would just be icing on the cake. I've wanted a P forever, but can't go down to a four banger, and can't bring myself to get anything that doesn't have those seven magic letters (I suppose TECHNICALLY there are only FIVE letters, just a couple used twice) LAKLAND.

Absolutely fantabulous!

I'm disappointed that the Hollowbody is out. I think a Gretsch orange HB would be smokin'. But this is really good news for 5 string players. It will be nice to have a choice of 4 or 5. A split pickup 5 string P is a much sought after piece for me. I can't bring myself to buy a Fender. I always end up selling them.

Depending on cost and when they need the money, count me in.

Being the blissful recent recipient of an Indonesian JO5, I am completely sold on the quality.

I wonder if we'll have the option to make it a P/J? Or a side-dotted-only fretted...

I eagerly await more info and logistics.

Markus/LOG guys: Once the details are figured out, will there a place on the LOG site where we should indicate our interest?

I read through the last few pages of this thread last night - some great looking Basses. Last night all night I was dreaming of Laklands - this is the second time in the past few months I have had dreams with these Basses in them - I think I am going to have to sell a few on the Basses I own and consider getting one. I have 4 Fender Jazz Basses and I love the looks of the Natural Finish JO's - also would like a Glaub. My main Bass right now is a Spector 6 - I switch between that and a P-Bass with Flats.

Just wanted to say after looking at all of the photos here - I am really dreaming of a Lakland :)
