that bass has almost everything... the lh-3 pre, chisonics, humbuckers switchable to singles, and a passive tone control!
Very cool collection!

Thanks! Yes...I really think the 4-07 does it all. This is the first bass I've owned with the LH3. It sounds so natural..it's amazing! Are you getting a switch on your humbuckered DJ?

markus, that is a sweet collection, the grain on that 44-07 is awesome!!!

i want that bass bad, i got quoted for a skyline just like it, but i may have to splurge for a U.S. model:eek:

Thanks Matt! You will not be disappointed! I am so stoked on this bass. If I was on a desert island, and could only have one bass, the 4-07 would be it hands down. It is just so versatile, and the setup is perfect.

Right now, I'm content with my two current basses. No stress over which is the right to use for the gig. It's either fretted jazz or fretless jazz. I don't know what I'd do with such a huge variety. And you have a J-sonic on the way right?

Even with all the ChiSonic love, my favorite is still the natural JO. It has a great, tight ash grain. That color combination is perfect.

Do you still like the Lakland jazz pickups after playing the Chis or would you prefer that bass to have jazz ChiSonics as well?

Yeah- I do prefer the JO grain, I'm a tight grain kinda guy and I really miss this little fella -

you got rid of that for the Deacde right? Imagine if they'd do a DJ with the Decade pickup placement. I've played most of the Lakland 4 string models, and the DJ is by far the most comfortable for me.

I have a JO CS coming. I'll be able to really hear the difference. The Chi's are my favorite pickups, but I haven heard them in a Jazz configuration yet. I'm thinking it would sound more modern, and open. So I am planing on running flats on the Natural one for the ol' school vibe.
