good choice on that... I'd keep it that way. The Decade is definitely a funky old school style. The 07 screams modern bass to me. Knowing you, it has nickels on it, but I'd throw some DR LoRiders on that baby!

Great pics Markus, as always. I prefer the Jazz bass knobs that were on the Decade, though. What made you switch to P-bass style?

And, is the 4-07 swamp ash and the JO ash, or vice versa?

I like the P bass knobs. I think they ad to the bling of that bass. If it were more subdue, like no blocks, and white guard, I'd go with the jazz knobs, but I think the P bass knobs fit the look. Who knows though...I might get board and put the other ones back on;) The JO is ash, and the '07 is swamp ash.

To each his own :). I have to admit, the main reason I haven't gotten an Audere for my DJ5 is my love for jazz knobs. The chrome knobs on the chrome plate doesn't appeal to me aesthetically. I like 'em on P basses though. I like contrast.... chrome against PG, and black on chrome. I need to see if Audere can send me one w/ black knobs, that'd work. :)

So how much of the 4-07's appeal do you think comes from the body wood?

You can get either chrome or black knobs with the Audere's, just specify when you order .
I did a little mix & match on my DJ's for the semi-contrast look.

I don't like chrome knobs on chrome either. I like the JO stacked know though, because the black second knob breaks it up. That's why I like the chrome knobs on the Decade...no control plate.

On the 4-07...are you talking tonal wise or visually?

Looking at these basses (again and again and again), I love them. But, I'm starting to really appreciate the low key look of my JOs. They don't turn heads when you look at them, which lets me melt into the background. These basses are pure head-turners, which is awesome. I was jealous at first, now I'm appreciative. Nicely done, Markus.

And man, I'm really pumped for the LOG bass. Not only does the LOG get to introduce the 5-string Skyline Glaub to the bass world, but it also gives me an excuse to save up for another p-bass. Thanks to the head LOGers for taking what could've been a really crappy situation and turning it into something special.

Thanks man! ...I think:eyebrow::D

yea... it's a compliment. Your basses are exciting in design and (i bet) sound. The sort of basses where someone would say, "Woah, that 4 string guitar looks awesome!" and their friend wouldn't respond because his/her head was imploded by the sub-frequencies from your Chi-Sonics.
