Hey guys, I'm almost finished w/ my pedal board. The only problem is how to carry it, yeah it's that heavy! Question: anybody besides me interested in posting our boards on here? I'd love to see what you guys use!

I only use it for tuning and to put a some spatial wank on my Cort fretless. I bypass it when I use my JO5 CS (HTTY!) as that bass just sounds so amazing on it's own. I also use it to get that 'Surf Sound' with my Gretsch Jet Baritone.

The Zoom has a USB out feature that lets me goof around recording into Cubase, which is both fun and depressing at the same time.

Definitely gonna have to be a tort PG, if (BIG IF) I can get the fundage for the BG5. RW fretboard looks best, but I'm a maple fan soundwise (only 55/45 in favor of maple though). Never owned a P except a project that's still unfinished.... what's the pros/cons of maple vs RW on a P?

That is a matter of some debate, natch. I wouldn't say it's any different with a P than other basses. Some say the maple provides a bit more "snap" while rosewood sounds darker; others say there's no difference. I'm inclined to believe it makes a tiny bit of difference, but I sure as heck can't prove it.

I'm not sure there is a difference since the string never hits the board before it hits the frets. If there is a difference, I would think it would be very minimal, and could be EQ'd to sound the same.

Nada. I'm probably going to get a Bass VT pedal, but I can't see anything else in my future.

No doubt! But I'm also going to be looking for an Ampeg V-4 to quell my tube amp GAS. The Decade, especially, sounded sooooo good through it. And the guy who let me try his says it covers the vast majority of gigs he plays (including a rock band); he only hauls out the SVT once in a while.

I just use a Fulltone Bass Drive Mosfet pedal and that's it at the current time. I use it for about 4 songs at the moment.

I'm sure the US version will, since Lakland makes 5-string J pups. P/J isn't an option on Skylines, though.

I use an EBS Octabass and that's about it.. It's all I need. No tricks for this guy.

Gotta admit, octave pedals are my favorites. I just got into effects a little over a year ago, and I went wild LOL.

I played a skyline Glaub the other day......a used one for just over 5 bills. I was so impressed with the bass...I haven't played a Lakland in a while and this one was really great.

So, does Lakland make a 5 string PJ yet? 34" scale?

Yeah, that IS pretty stinking hot!!!! The only reason I'm thinking about Maple is because of a Stingray that I had in that combo....

Lakland does not have any 5 string 34" scale basses in production.
