I know this may be backwards from most, but looking at your mockups, I like the Pearl with the RW, and the Tort with the Maple. Kinda bass ackwards from what I expecting.

Since my IndoPlek JO5 is burstort, I'm thinkin' that nice, simple stock white guard with Maple might be just the contrast I need...

You know what? I feel exactly the same way! Maybe the tort/RW combo looks too dark next to the teal.
